U.N. Monitoring

when the U.S. State Department invited the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to monitor the U.S. election in November, it opened the door for international intrusion into our democratic process.

Since the OSCE invitation, the far-left pressure group Global Exchange announced that it too would be disbursing handpicked international observers to monitor polling stations in five key battleground states. "With this third group entering the fray," says DeWeese, "it is clear that the drive to put our nation's electoral process under the purview of some international authority is a serious goal of the left.

The president of the OSCE is none other that Alcee Hastings.

Alcee Hastings, now representative for the 23rd district of Florida was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, August 3, 1988, on charges of perjury and conspiring to solicit a bribe; Trial in the U.S. Senate, October 18, 1989, to October 20, 1989; Convicted and removed from office, October 20, 1989.

Alcee Hasting is the president of the OSCE election monitoring arm.

AND FINALLY::

"... any foreign monitoring of the U.S. election as a whole will violate American sovereignty, citing Article II of the Constitution that specifically assigns the conduct of elections to the States.

Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson Representative Corrine Brown Representative Julia Carson Representative William Lacy Clay Representative Joseph Crowley Representative Elijah Cummings Representative Danny Davis Representative Raul Grijalva Representative Michael Honda Representative Barbara Lee Representative Carolyn Maloney Representative Jerrold Nadler Representative Edolphus Towns

Are the senators that requested these monitors, both through the U.N. and through Colin Powell. It would seem to me that violation of American severeignty constitutes treason, and therefore these 13 representatives are traitors.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: observers; osce
The U.N. is the most corrupt and malicious and uselss bodies in the world. It is a slap in the face to all Americans that our own politician would call for something that is reserved for turd world backwater countries like France. ;)

I did not read this part... it is another attempt by the dem's to invalidate our election. Throw these people in jail or deport them immediately. And fire Colin Powell.

It is up to the states involved to send these monitors packing. The Feds have no authority here. I believe it would be the Governor, Secy of state, and the Att.Gen. that need to be contacted.

Unlike most Freepers, I would like a U.N. observer to be at my polling place. It would be a golden opportunity to flip them the bird.

Don't worry. These people have no legal status and cannot do anything in our elections. If they start anything simply have them excorted out of the polling place. (which legally they shouldn't be in to start with) Avoid them all together and vote with absentee ballots. That what I am going to do.
