THIS FILM refutes that misunderstanding - powerfully.
Of course the RATS are fools IRAQ is a Keystone inthe structure of radical western hating ISLAM and is of tactical and strategic importance
I don't think my wife would want to go.There were THIRTEEN (13) amazing conservative movies recently screened at the recent Liberty Film Festival in Los Angeles...We should be able to get some FReepers to go.
...but THIS FILM was easily the most powerful of a very strong field.EVERYONE (over 12 years old) NEEDS to see this movie, IMHO.
Why not see it WITHOUT your wife first, and than GO BACK and see it again - with her, if you decide that what I am saying is true.
The Producer of the film, well known in our community, was fed up with the Bill Mahr's of the world saying Iraqi's were better off under Saddam..See also, from www.wmd-themovie.com/bio_jano-rosebiani.html:He put everything he owned on the line to make this film.
Recently married, and 4 days later left for Iraq..
He had to smuggle the footage out of Iraq, and after 5 weeks of editing is now hitting local theatres with his remaining cash to get the word out...
Jano Rosebiani
Writer/director
A self-taught Kurdish/American filmmaker, born and raised in the Kurdish town of Zakho in the Southern region of Kurdistan. As a Kurd under the rule of Saddams tyrannical regime Rosebianis future looked dim. In 1974, then a seventh-grader, he along with his family joined the Kurdish mass uprising and took to the mountains. Two years later he became a refugee in the Untied States.
Rosebiani acquired his knowledge of film making during his college years in the mid and late eighties while managing movie theaters in Washington DC and making experimental videos at a public access television. In 1995 he made his feature film debut in Los Angeles with "Dance of the Pendulum," a low budget intellectual comedy parodying sexploitation in Hollywood.
Jiyan (life) was his first Kurdish film shot in the US/UK protected region of Kurdistan in Northern Iraqi in 2002. Jiyan depicts life in Halabja following Saddams chemical and biological attack that caused 5000 lives. The film toured world festivals, winning numerous awards and critical praise, including a four star rating by Londons The Guardian, The Observer and BBC World and 31/2 stars by South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Rosebianis latest films are two documentaries depicting life in Iraq under Saddams tyranical grip, "Saddam's Mass Graves" and "Chemical Ali."

For those of you in the San Joaquin Valley, or close proximity, there is a showing of this moving tonight in Clovis, CA. After listening to Brad Maaske on the radio about this movie, you may not know what you think you know about Saddams brutality, and ALL the reasons why it was absolutely right to go into Iraq. As well informed as FReepers are, this is a must see.
Great site! I just sent out an e-mail with the link. Thanks.
Saddams lawyer met with Bin Laden. What was Bin Laden doing in Baghdad? It said that Bin Laden was in Baghdad in 1998 where the Saddams lawyer met him. What in the hell was Bin Laden in Baghdad for....a cruise up the Tigris? You couldnt pass gas in Baghdad in 1998 without Saddam knowing about it, if Osama was there, Saddam had to have known it. Either way if Bin Laden was in Bagdad in 1998, it had to be with Saddam's approval.
Saddam would have been harboring terrorists as far back as 1998 according to his own attorney. We already KNEW from the 9/11 commission report that Saddam Hussein offered safe haven to Osama Bin Laden in 1998.

25. Bin Laden reportedly visited Baghdad for consultations in March 1998. Giovanni De Stefano, an international lawyer visiting Baghdad on business, had a chance encounter with Bin Laden in the lobby of the Al-Rashid Hotel, during which the two men introduced themselves and engaged in polite conversation. De Stefano did not, at the time, recognize Bin Ladens name. Five months after the chance encounter, agents of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda attacked the American embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.

I just spoke with a few friends of mine in Iraq. I sent his unit 100 DVD's of the WMD Movie. He said he could not describe the emotion, and sense of pride it brought when they watched it.
I suggest every one buys a copy http://www.wmddvd.com and show it to all doubters about the war. You will win them over.
People have to know the truth about Iraq.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Weighing the human and economic toll of going to war against a tyrant in Iraq, a new film answers the question millions of Americans are asking before going to the polls: Has the war been worth it?
Thats the essential question asked in a new documentary film by Brad Maaske, a Central California businessman who hastens to distance himself from Hollywood types voicing opinions that he says lack foundation.
Contrary to Moore's claims, this film shows that George Bush was right when he confronted axis of evil member Iraq -- and liberated the Iraqi people using armed force.
Alarmed by the wellspring of criticism of the Iraqi war and the American policies backing it, particularly Michael Moore's recent film blasting President George W. Bush, Maaske sets out to uncover the truth surrounding the war, Americas military engagement, Iraqs links to global terrorism, and in particular, the under-reported acts of atrocity committed directly by or under the command of Saddam Hussein.
WMD The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein, released theatrically in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles on October 8, followed by release in theatres in other major markets and on DVD...
