Kerry and Bush strategists largely agree on the battlefield, and who is winning in each state -- save Ohio. While the Bush campaign says it is winning Ohio, Kerry's internal polling shows the president losing by about five points and fading, according to two aides. Kerry will campaign in Ohio this weekend and many more times before election day.
The Kerry campaign is confident that it is winning Pennsylvania and Michigan by comfortable margins and pulling slightly ahead in Florida, a must-win state for Bush. The Kerry campaign's polling shows Bush leading in Iowa and West Virginia, and running about even in Wisconsin.

If sKerry is up by 5 in Ohio, then why is Bush not campaigning more there since it is essential. Plus, most polls show a close race (some like SV show a Bush +8).. So my question is a) is sKerry just bsing or are they b) taking into account voter fraud which they are planning.
B would account for how they believe they are ahead in florida.. According to them, they have Ohio, Fla and Penn in hand.
Distirubing.
Yeah, but they also say they won the debate last night.

This is called spin!

Sorry about that. :)
Did not notice the button until now. :)
I hope so.
Consider the source, the Washington Compost and the story focuses mainly on the Rats and their numbers. The guy that wrote about it on the Kerrry Spot on NRo pretty much knocked this article down.
Well they're not going to say they are behind in either Florida or Ohio...ever...even after the votes are counted and Bush decleared victor.
kerry's also up in texas....spread the word!
Kerry is up by 50 in Oklahoma.
Did you go to the Kerry Spot and actually read the whole piece? Quite a bit different view from what you excerpted. I will ping you to it after I post it from National Review Online.
The danger for Kerry is simple; he cannot afford to look like he's losing Fl. and Ohio. Russert said that whoever wins two of the three (Fl. Ohio. Penn.) wins the election. If people even begin to get a hint that Bush has the Big Mo., then Kerry will be the one to suffer problems with turnout. Remember, he doesn't have much support from people who like him, only Bush haters.
There's a confidence gap--Republicans have a baseline of confidence because W IS the current president, so he's always going to be in the game; but Kerry was out of it, had a surge...but nothing he's done in the debates has altered the reality that the man has no firm positions or plans. (Proof? Randomly ask some people about both men's specific plans in Iraq, the war on terror, etc.)
You may not have heard of this neat term for what they're doing--it's called "spinning". :)
Check where they're putting their money, and where they're not. It's not the spin, it's the spend.
He had his Dukakis moment last night and blew his brains out in front of most of the country. That plus the coming assaults will kill him for sure.

Cool. Yes, I read the article, but I am very concerned about Ohio. Especially with that Chicago Tribune poll. It looked like an outlier, especially after looking at SV and Rassmussen - but now this. *sigh*.
I hope to God you are right and this is spin. Then again, I have seen polls say that Missouri is barely Bush and I have a hard time believing that one.
If Kerry loses Florida, his odds of winning are bad indeed.
This is all bull. They want to appear like Kerry is winning by a small margin so when Bush wins they'll cry foul and all hell will break out. They don't care about the Country, only power. They will win because they want it no matter what happens to the rest of us.
Kerry pulled his money out of that state (Mo.) because it's under the W column.
If it's true that Kerry's up by 5 points and the numbers show that Bush is fading, why in the world make many more visits to Ohio before the election. Does anyone else see something funny about this strategy?
If President Bush and Kerry are both going to be in Ohio, PA, and the other up for grabs state again - it would be nice if someone got close to both and took pictures of the turn out -
The major media isn't good at letting us know who is drawing the most usually. Seeing the turn outs might be more telling than any poll -
just a thought - who has riled the troops more -
