Interesting that Gallup is now becoming the outlier, Soros must have mailed a large check to them.

No wonder I haven't been able to refresh RCP. Probably overloaded because of Drudge link.

Gallup is unweighted. It was a holiday weekend. I am waiting for a weekday Gallup poll.

I want to see the next Gallup poll. I believe they do a good job. But in their haste to get a poll out after the second debate (which was on a Friday night), they polled two notoriously week days of the week for Republicans: Saturday and Sunday. I will be surprised if Gallup's next poll does not show a 3-4 point lead for Bush. Of course, I thought he would have had it wrapped up by now, so what do i know?

Opps, I meant "weak days of the week".

But the mainstream media and the Dem hacks keep telling me Kerry "won" the last debate....???

Now, just one very public proclamation reminding citizens of the jail time and fines for voter fraud, just to keep this under some kind of control, and we would be looking good.

I wonder how many female voters got a bit ticked at hearing a man (Kerry) pretend that he
could read the mind of a woman (Mary Cheney) and then bombastically tell us
what she wants.

The NOW would have had a cow if Dubya had tried such a presumptous stunt.

As i was Channel surfing this morning before heading out, there was a note on CNN that Ohio was now even. Is this true?

And Bush is coming to New Jersey, which did vote for his father in 1988 and almost tossed Bill Bradley out of the Senate in favor of a then-unknown Christy Whitman.

It's important to note that Bush's South Jersey visits will also help him in PA because they will be reported in Philadelphia.

It is damned offensive to me that the sex life of the child of a candidate should be talked about at all! I can not imagine many people will give that a pass. Well, except MaryBeth Cahill and Coombs.

Don't sweat it. Given the margin of error, if you have 3 Ohio polls and Bush is truly up by 4 points, odds are that one of those polls will show it even. CNN of course chose to emphasize that poll to make it look like Kerry is doing well.

That's certainly a bad tactic.
But I've been suprised (a bit) that I haven't heard more commentators
mention how chauvanistic it appears in this day and age
"for a man to presume to speak for a woman".

Especially when the Democrats/libs are always through out that rhetoric about
"strong women".

The pollsters have about another week to sample as they please to show a result that they want to endorse...however after this weekend and into early next week the pollsters will all be in a race to see who will be awarded most accurate...

And at this time in history with more people than ever watching the pollsters will straighten up their acts and we should get a REAL good idea of what is going on!

For a man to presume to speak for a woman is also troublesome, but for me I think the most offensive issue is that someone is used against their will as a posterchild for a sexual issue! It is simply wrong! Why didn't he just cite Gebhardt's gay daughter! If President Bush had done that I would have also been offended.

Absolutely agreed. I was just envisioning a "two-fer" in Kerry's presumptuous comments.
(partly as my notice of the SILENCE of the NOW over the women voters in Afghanistan,
even given it might not have been a perfect election...you know, something
like an election in Chicago, Milwaukee or West Palm Beach.)

Why didn't he just cite Gebhardt's gay daughter! If President Bush had done that

Same here. Offensive on exploiting the child of a political opponent...
and secondarily as the presumption of "speaking for another".
