Let's do all we can to make sure it happens and that Kerry is not only defeated, but defeated soundly.

Illinois: 21 EVs for Kerry.

Thanks, Mr. Keyes. Next time, could you actually try to win an election, instead of engaging in seagull campaigning?

Nice map...probably too much voter fraud in Philadelphia to overcome to make PA fire engine red...

I wish that Maine was red but you have to remember that we are a split state up here. So far the south is still in Kerry's camp. It is close but with a lot of hard work we may pull off an entire red state. So far we are split.

I love and share your optimism - We all have alot to do to make sure this happens. We not only do we need a victory on November 2, 2004 but we also need a thoroughly crushing defeat for Kerry in both the electoral college and the popular vote. I think your numbers are good but I think you may be wrong about Michigan and New Hampshire. We are so close in many states with alittle luck good turn out and more effort by the base we can make November 2 a huge day for the Republican Party

A number of people on the thread, including myself, are expressing some doubts about PA. Could you please share your thinking that leads you to conclude W will take it? Of course even if he didn't, and assuming the other assumptions hold up, he would still cruise to a comfortable 299/239 EC victory.

No offense Jeff. I love your work. But you are on crack if you think Bush takes Maine,Iowa, and PA.

The Map looks Sweet.

BUT - IF YOU LIVE IN A BLUE STATE "VOTE ANYWAY"
Your local elections depend on it as does Bush getting the popular vote.

Y'know, for over a week now I have wanted to start a FReeperesearch thread regarding the new Party-representational colors. Who took away our "true blue"?

If you recall, the GOP was always blue, up to and including the first 2000 Election reports.

However, as soon as the "red state/blue state" theme was cast... well, the Left couldn't be their all-too-representational red, now could they?

WHO made the change? HOW was it immediately implemented?

There's truth in advertising, let's consider getting the colors right a public service.

P.S. Diotima and I are doing a random RadioFR show next Tues., 2PM E... with Mark Steyn! More details to follow.

Here is the latest from President Elect.org...as of 10/12:

Bush 288 - Kerry 250

They have IA, PA, and ME going to Kerry. All else same as yours.

These may be the vote tallies, but the issue will be how many states the RATS file law suits in and/or pull some kind of shenanigans. Not if...just how many.

Well. When Jeff Head speaks, there is nothing left to be said. ;-)

Looks good to me. Though I think Minnesota might float to Bush, too.

It used to be the Republicans were marked in Blue and the Democrats in Red. When did that change?

Anyway, I'm gladdened by your optimism. Even so, I'm still stocking up on food, water and ammunition. Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.

I like your optimism, my friend. :)

I'm making my official call right here on Jeff's Official Call thread:

BUSH 311

KERRY 227

I agree with most of your prediction, except:

BUSH carries MN (10), NM (5), and part of ME (1)

KERRY wins PA (21) and the rest of ME (3)

I'm gonna work to make sure it happens in Ohio!
