Democratic Party General Staff: The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects: Democratic General Staff - Here is the latest list of retired senior general and flag officers, all with a history of support for or appointments by Democrats.

....................................................

John Kerry's Senior Military Advisory Group:

.........

Adm. William Crowe (USN, Ret.) Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — later Ambassador to United Kingdom, along with Gen. Wesley Clark, received Presidential Medal of Freedom from Bill Clinton.

Gen. John Shalikashvili (USA, Ret.) Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — Clinton appointee.

Gen. Tony McPeak (USAF, Ret.) Former U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff.

Adm. Stansfield Turner, (USN, Ret.) Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency — Jimmy Carter appointee, presided over shift from HUMINT to TECHINT.

Gen. Joseph Hoar (USMC, Ret.) Former Commander in Chief, U.S. Central Command.

Gen. Wesley Clark (USA, Ret.) Former Supreme Allied Commander Europe — more usually suspected than the others. Was told by Great Britain's General Sir Michael Jackson, "I'm not starting World War III for you." Along with Adm. William Crowe, received Presidential Medal of Freedom from Bill Clinton.

Gen. Johnnie Wilson (USA, Ret.) Former Commander, U.S. Army Material Command

Lt. Gen. Daniel Christman (USA, Ret.) Former Superintendent, U.S. Military Academy

Lt. Gen. Kennedy (USA, Ret.) Former Deputy Army Chief of Staff for Intelligence

Vice Adm. Lee Gunn (USN, Ret.) Former Inspector General, U.S. Navy

Maj. Gen. Harry Jenkins (USMC, Ret.) Former Chief Legislative Liaison, U.S. Marine Corps

........

One prominent name missing from the list of usual suspects is that of Vice Adm. Eugene Carroll, former Vice President of Center for Defense Information (CDI). Vice Adm. Carroll fought the defense policies of the Reagan Administration and opposed SDI.

- Gen McPeak...probably the most despised AF Chief of Staff during my 26 years in the AF. His successor immediately reversed several of McPeak's changes (does that tell you anything?)

- Gen (Claudia) Kennedy...creator of the "Consideration of Others" training mandated during the Clinton years. Sensitivity training for soldiers.

- Adm Crowe...wasn't he a large shareholder in Bioport -- the company that won the contract to provide the "ever popular" anthrax vaccinations mandated for every military member during the Clinton Administration?

Gen Wesley Clark...never mind.

Gen Shsliskakdlfa'ljfjli or whatever...reportedly disapproved the mission to rescue downed Navy pilot Scott Speicher during Gulf War I.

I don't know the rest of them, but is is not a list that I am impressed with.

Minor correction - the mission to rescue Speicher was after the war, when his aircraft crash site was located.

I suspect if you scratched a little you might be able to add ADM William Owens USN Retired to the list.
