Karl Rove, one of President Bushs top White House aides, testified this morning before a federal grand jury investigating the leak of a CIA operative's name by administration sources. Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald questioned Rove about his contacts with journalists in what a source familiar with Rove's situation said was his third appearance before the grand jury. "My client appeared voluntarily before the grand jury and has cooperated with the investigation since it began," said Rove's attorney Robert Luskin. "He has been assured in writing as recently as this week that he is not a target of the investigation."

Another Joe Wilson Lie exposed. What do you want to bet that he is the source of the leak?
Apparently McAwful didn't get the memo.
You mean Wilson is the source of the leak ..??
"If we had a copy of Gorelick's book "Destruction of Evidence".
we would have never been fired by anyone."
Just heard this on "Special Report" on Fox, Brit's show with Jim Angle handling the Friday program as usual. I came right to the computer to see if it was posted.
Thanks.
Yep! He lied his ass off about the yellow cake. He gets outraged about his wife being outed, but he has his picture taken with her for Vanity Fair (I think) Sorry but this guy has been trying to setup Bush for years! The real idiot in this case that could square it all away once and for all is Novak!
Why?! Why do you say that?
Let's look at what happened.
Wilson hates President Bush. Wilson plants stories in the press saying GWB lied in his SOTU speech. Wilson dramatically reveals himself in an op-ed in the NY Times as the anonymous "diplomat" who heretofore has been cited in these articles and again says flat out Bush has lied.
Novak (and other reporters) say to themselves (I take literary license here) "The devil you say! Why was Joseph C. Wilson, IV selected for this sensitive mission. Why he's a known Bush hater!", so Novak and others ask around and are told Wilson's wife recommended him.
Now, you may find this idiotic. I find it sensible, and I am grateful to learn how Wilson came to sent on this errand.
Is there enough brains or balls in the prosecuter to nail Wilson, if mountains of evidence reveal that HE is/was the FIRST to finger his wife?
I agree it could be Wildon. I also thought it might have been Clarke. He was still in the WH at the time of the incident .. and resigned shortly thereafter.
I also agree Novak should be made to reveal his source.
I hate "unnamed sources" .. if a person can't put his name on a statement, they no media person should accept their statement.
