If the Republicans tried anything as sleazy as this, the MSM would be flogging this as a front page/lead story until the next election. The Democrats only try this crap BECAUSE THEY CAN. Thank you, Dan Rather, et al.

(Putting words in Terry McAuliffe's mouth): "I have a brilliant idea. I'll do something that will pi$$ off the military, a group that reliably votes 75% against my party, and the only organization in the entire world with the guns and the brass to put a total and complete stop to my criminal political activity."

Boy, what a genius this guy is. He better hope the military never decides to act out their frustrations with that scenario. It would be very ugly indeed.

John Kerry has raised doubts about our troops' ability to maintain security as well as Iraqi's ability to decide their own future through elections. He has called the allies in Iraq "window dressing." This is all reminiscent of his appearance before a Senate Committee in 1971 where he suggested with nothing but second hand information American GIs were committing atrocities and war crimes of the worst kind in Vietnam.
Any one who is still on the fence about what electing John Kerry to the office of President of the United States will mean to American servicemen/women has only to click the link below to see what he really thinks of our Men/Women of Honor!

This is what Rendell's job was in FL in 2000 (keeping the military vote from being counted.) Some of us figured out that this was what all the back and forth of on the ballot, not on the ballot, the Democrats were doing with Ralph Nader in PA and Ohio. If an absentee ballot has gone to someone in the military overseas and it has Ralph Nader's name on it, even though the person does not vote for Nader, if the ballot is returned, it is automatically discarded because the ballot is incorrect.

This is the only way the Rats can win the election. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If they succeed there will be civil unrest. And the police and military will not intervene .

I hope the President mentions this in his stump speeches! This word needs to go out to all his supporters so they can spread the word in their states.

The Democrats are determined to start another civil war. They are so blinded with their lust for power I honestly don't think they see the implications of what they are doing.

I have been confused by some of the things going on that I thought the 'Help America Vote Act of 2002' was supposed to help. I have tried to read sections of it and have included some items pertaining to military overseas ballots for geeks like me that are interested in changes that were put in place to try and solve some problems from 2000.

There are some interesting changes that were supposed to be in effect in all states by now UNLESS the state got a waiver, but no later than 2006 changes must be made that will cut down on some fraud such as a central state role of all voters. Since we are specifically discussing the military vote I have tried to pull out some items that deal specifically with that:

``The Secretary shall, to the maximum extent practicable, implement measures to ensure that a postmark or other official proof of mailing date is provided on each absentee ballot collected at any overseas location or vessel at sea whenever the Department of Defense is responsible for collecting mail for return shipment to the United States. The Secretary shall ensure that the measures implemented under the preceding sentence do not result in the delivery of absentee ballots to the final destination of such ballots after the date on which the election for Federal office is held.

``(h) Notice of Deadlines and Requirements.--The Secretary of each military department, utilizing the voting assistance officer network established for each military installation, shall, to the maximum extent practicable, provide notice to members of the Armed Forces stationed at that installation of the last date before a general Federal election for which absentee ballots mailed from a postal facility located at that installation can reasonably be expected to be timely delivered to the appropriate State and local election officials.''.

``(d) Registration Notification.--With respect to each absent
uniformed services voter and each overseas voter who submits a voter
registration application or an absentee ballot request, if the State
rejects the application or request, the State shall provide the voter
with the reasons for the rejection.''.

I knew when I heard about the lawsuits holding up absentee ballots that they were treating our armed forces like trash again. The troops deserve to know what kind of commander in chief Kerry would be--die for your country, but we will do everything to block your vote because you lean too heavily toward the republican party. The dems and the lawyers participating in this don't deserve to lick our soldiers boots.

In case no one has the guts toi say it aloud, I'll say it:

The DNC IS A BUNCH OF THIEVING COMMUNIST THUGS WHO HAVE PARTNERED WITH THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA, ACTIVIST JUDGES AND CORRUPT OFFICIALS TO STEAL THIS ELECTION FOR KERRY - WHO IS A COMMUNIST BENT ON DESTROYING AMERICA FROM WITHIN.
