You have to read this to understand just how pathetic the Democratic ticket is this year. A Democratic site with an article that can't manage even one real reason that has anything to do with Kerry, just more Bush-hating. Go to the actual article and read the rest of it to see how stupid it is. Log in on Democratic Underground, criticize Kerry, and see how long it takes you to get bumped off. They can't handle any discussion, as their attitude is "don't confuse me with facts, my mind's made up".

They aren't very good talking points.

It will be a great joy to listen to all the gnashing of teeth and renting of garments from the arrogant and benighted democrats on the morning after Bush's election victory.

God willing.

Too many of there talking points contain multisyllabic words. And DU has degenerated(if it were possible)to being a cheerleader site. Lots of cussing(monosyllable) and no substance. They are still trying to convince themselves that JFK/Breckboy are viable candidates.

Well, since GWB swore off drinking years ago, no one is likely to have a beer with him any time soon. So one needs to admit that their point#1 is technically correct. But why should it be seen as negative? Besides, what are the chances of any undecided voter (if such a fabled beast from ancient myths does indeed exist) to be sipping Lafite-Rotschild with a perfumed gigolo?

That's the best they can do?

I continue to refrain from visiting DU, but thanks anyway.

From personal experience in doing get out the vote stuff, you have to keep it simple. "Nuanced" doesn't work.

Talking Point #1: You and I will never have a beer with the President of the United States.
President Bush doesn't drink. John Kerry only drinks Chateau l'Evangile.

Talking Point #2: The President should speak foreign languages. He should also speak English.

The President should talk straight, not out of both sides of his mouth.

Talking Point #3: The President should read.
The President should read more intelligence briefings and less Karl Marx.

Talking Point #4: The President should be aware of every mistake he has ever made.
Mistakes are subjective. A President needs to look to the future, not dwell in the past.

Talking Point #5: Politicians lie. It's what they lie about that matters.
Democrat politicians lie. President Bush doesn't.

Talking Point #6: Leadership is not stubbornness.
Leadership is not petty criticism.

Talking Point #7: American citizenship is not an entitlement to selfishness.
What the hell does that mean? Is this some plea for socialism?

Talking Point #8: There is not a terrorist hiding in your garage.
If you're a Kerry supporter, the terrorist doesn't need to hide in your garage, he gets his own room.

If I were 14 years old, I would think those were good talking points.

Do you live in a state where Confederate flags are seen more frequently than peace signs?

That's probably true in all fifty states for historical reasons alone. If one buys a book or goes to a museum or website to learn about the Civil War, he is not likely to see the peace sign on display.

Equating that flag with alleged contemporary "right wing" racial hatred is as childish and tiresome as all of these stupid talking points (not one of them merits a response), and ignores the fact that Democrats historically shoulder the lion's share of violent racism.
