Dear ________,
You have probably never heard my name. I'm one of many people who work tirelessly behind the scenes on behalf of the President's campaign. I make sure we carefully follow the law in everything we do.
In 2000, I was in Florida for the recount and remember the attacks we had to fend off in order to protect the result of a fair election from the efforts to steal it. If we had not had the support of many, many generous individuals who made contributions to our recount effort, we would not have been successful. We must start now to make sure we have the resources to defend the outcome of this election. Will you help me by making a donation to our General Election Legal and Compliance Account?
The election of 2000 was difficult not just for the campaigns but for our country. Florida became the center of a battle for our Democracy. This year, I am concerned about similar efforts by those who would try to adjust the outcome of the election after the polls have closed. This year we may face similar fights not just in Florida, but in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, New Mexico and other critical states.
By raising money for our GELAC fund, we will prepare early for any unforeseen events that may affect the outcome of the election. We will ensure that we are able to prevent any attempt to alter the outcome of the vote and any effort to suppress the voice of the voters
We all know the level of concern we feel about voter fraud and trumped-up election challenges from the Democrats. If you can contribute to this vital cause, go to the link below and donate as much as you can afford.

bttt & thanks!
Did it. Thanks for the heads up. Also, keep this thread current, i didn't know about it and i am sure that there are a lot of people who do not know about it. Also there was a thread a few days ago where people were asking what thye could do to help. An action alert might be another good thread. Those of us in non-battleground states are chomping at the bit to help.

Thanks, K4Harty. Other than bumping the thread, is there any other way to keep it current?
I agree, I think there are a lot of people who would like to contribute to this cause. We've given them the link to do it now.
Like you, I want to help directly in this fight. I think we all understand, though, that we need to support the 'pros' in the Bush campaign who are going to be fighting this fight on the frontlines of the courts.
The party has a list of those donors who can be counted on for just this sort of emergency. I know some who donated to this particular account for the legal costs of 2000. I can't get them to volunteer, but they say they are there for this effort.
I am not sure if all campaign donors are reciving this request. I donated and am a campaign worker and while I get RNC and Senatorial Committee requests, I haven't recived this one.
Keep reposting the thread on the news/Activism board. Change title often so moderator lets it go( MODERATOR - Wink, wink, :o) This is serious and should be funded. We know the RATS will do "Whatever it takes"
I received the same e-mail.
We need to come up with our poster plans....Like Sore/Loserman....
I sooo do NOT want to do this again.
I think the dems will try it even if the election is not close, because it makes the President irrelevant in their eyes.
Tomorrow I am digging in one more time to send checks to several Republican committees. This is about the last chance to have an impact. I am also working at the polls on Nov.2. Eventhough I live in a Republican area, last time I did this I was the only Republican volunteer versus 4 or 5 dims. Everything was on the up and up, but it is important to keep an eye on them.
If you live in a battleground state, PLEASE help out evey way possible.
Excellent point, San Jacinto. Republicans need to find a way to wade into this fray and be active in every way they can.
