I haven't started a thread in months and months....but today SuzanneC walked me through it. I appreciate her patience, and wouldn't have imposed but I feel so strongly that Lawrence O'Donnell's outrageous anti-Christian comments on Scarborough Country should receive our attention.

Fortunately I missed Mr. O'Donnell's nutcase appearance. I did enjoy your mailing though, especially the part about the B-movie demon sprinkled with holy water. LOL funny.

That's a terrific letter. I'm going to fire off one myself. Lazy gal here too lazy to look up the e:mails for Joe and his boss (who is that?).

Anyone have those handy?

O'Donnell is pure evil. He's not even the type of creep like McAwful or Estrich where you can't stand them but sort of like to watch anyway. I have to change the channel when McDonnell mugs shows up on the screen.

I also saw this strange performancs. Truly disgusting. If MSNBC wants to retain ANY credibility, they need to part ways with him.

I was the other person watching the Scarborough show last night.

O'Donnell gets especially heated when the subject is homosexuality. Can't imagine why ;)

Back in '00, O'Donnell viciously attacked Steve Forbes on Hardball for defending the Boy Scouts of America in its efforts to refuse homosexual troop leaders. His reason? Because Malcolm Forbes, Steve's father, was allegedly homosexual. O'Donnell would not stop beating Steve Forbes up over his father's alleged homosexuality. It was one of the most disgusting scenes I've ever seen on tv.

I wrote Matthews at the time and of course got no response, but soon thereafter stopped watching Hardball and MSNBC. Only in the past few weeks have I bothered to switch from time to time to MSNBC, to see what the other side is saying (their idea of Republicans is Pat Buchanan and Ron P. Reagan). When the elections pass, I'll go back to ignoring MSNBC, and doubt they'll be around for the '08 election.

Your e-mail is great. I think MSNBC's e-mail lines are smoking after O'Donnells comments Thursday and Friday night. All of us "simple minded" believers were insulted by this man's ignorance and elitist attitude toward Christians. I'm ashamed that he had the affrontery to mention that he went to Catholic school.

Personally I don't think your words are strong enough. First, you nailed his performance last night except that you did not mention the constant smirk on this face which conveyed the message of all knowing jerk. Second, if you are familiar with Lawrence, then you should know that his behavior and opinions were completely predictable. In fact, when he was announced as the next guest on the show I almost turned the channel because I can barely stand to listen to him.

Beyond all that he is blatant (and this is typical of the most strident liberals) hypocrite. He defended Clinton to the end with regard to the Lewinsky affair. His main reasoning was that this had no business being discussed because it was a personal matter. I guess the same standard does not apply when it comes to the private family of Dick Cheney (fair game is what he called Kerry's calculated remarks).

Lawrence O'Donnell and Ellis Henican - two of the most unwatchable a$$holes on tv.

O'Donnell's comments caused quite a stir.

Threads discussing last night's SC are here, here and here.

Great letter and I will send one as well.

I happend to catch him one day last week and he had my blood boiling within seconds. It's obvious Buchanan answers to the powers that be at MSNBC or he would have verbally slapped him up one side and down the other. Isn't O'Donnell a writer or producer of West Wing? I know he plays some role which explains his nastiness having rubbed shoulders with Sheen and that liberal group.

I love O'Donnell. I really do, he is completely and totally unaware that he is the poster child for how FAR out of touch the left is with many Americans. He is also the poster child for arrogance as he sits up there and announces how it is Bush who is out of touch when it comes to faith. O'Donnell is exactly who Bernie Goldberg is referencing in his books, namely, the arrogant elitist.

What is amusing to watch is the tortured look on O'Donnell's face when his bias does not match reality. For example, O'Donnell was trying to paint Kerry's lesbian moment as a great, not just good, but great thing for Kerry.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when Lawrence kept repeating "Lesbian Sex," "Lesbian Sex," "Lesbian Sex," as though he was waving a red flag in Terry's face to get a negative reaction from him.

Great work. Nevertheless, O'Donnell may be working (albeit unconsciously) for our side. The Catholic vote for (the original) JFK didn't start picking up until after RFK started his surreptitious distribution of anti-Catholic "literature." Stalin wasn't completely successful in suppressing dissidents until after Dzerzhinsky trapped the hard-core anti-Stalinists in a purported anti-Stalin movement. These 'Man-Called-Thursday' counter-espionage tactics often work far more efficiently than mere forthright advocacy. And we may well have a very able "Thursday" in a certain Senatora.

I saw the whole disgusting thing. I'm glad you're sending in that letter. You should also send one to MSNBC, since he is their "analyst." Maybe they are pressuring Scarborough to put him on?

O'Donnell is a total and complete shill for the left. Whenever I see his face, I turn off the channel because I know he will infuriate me.

MSNBC should call him a commentator, not an analyst. Analysis implies due thought and care. O'Donnell is a rabid partisan.

Great job!

"In the future, I think Lawrence O'Donnell should be identified as a Democrat spokesman, not an MSNBC Analyst. 'Analyst' implies 'thoughtfully objective', Lawrence O'Donnell is certainly not that."

Says it all.

Back in the days when I watched the McLaughlin Group (I watch almost no talking heads shows anymore, and those I do watch I vet thoroughly beforehand), Lawrence O'Donnell confidently averred one night that Jesus of Nazareth never lived "according to experts."

He's a jackass and a prime example of why spokesman for the Democratic Party are impossible to respect.
