People, there are many like me out there that do have people in their lives who have not made up their minds.
I have a Wife who is very private about her voting habits. (She leans Democrat so it is a major source of anxiety in our relationship.)
She has concerns about Bush such as job outsourcing because she was a Boeing employee and was laid off as a result of this. (as she see's it). Also she has concerns about unemployment in this country. (Yeah, I know?) She likes Bush's stance on the War on terror.
She needs education on George Soros and his activities and she needs to understand MSM media bias and how it munipulates people who are not fully engaged from day to day in politics.
She's leaning Bush help me to push her on into the light.
in 2000 I voted for GWB, without a great deal of enthusiasm, but feeling he was vastly superior to Gore.
I know it sounds hokey but shortly after the election I started looking at pictures of the president and his wife. After seeing him as a genuine, caring, person - who really loves his wife I started to listen to more of what he was saying.
I still don't agree with him on everything...immigration and spending too much off the top of my head, but I believe he's a genuine person who has teh best interests of the country at heart.

well this right wing evangelical woman will definitely be praying!!!!! I am a part of the " PRAYING THE VOTE" so now I have a person to pray for!!.....
I voted for my first Republican President for George 41, mostly because I didn't like nor trust clinton/and his co president hitlery.
I now have 2 children and I would am determined for them to be caring, compassionate boys with morals integrity, a TRUE love of GOD, COUNTRY and fellow human beings. I truly believe that the democrats are out for POWER and the only way to do this is to have the impoverished stay that way, for the minorities in this country to continue to feel like they are always being discriminated against, and I will be darn if I want the UN or other foreign nations in charge of the NATIONAL SECURITY of my kids. This is a real WAR and it didn't start with 911 it started a long time ago, but was ignored, ignored and again ignored. This ignorance resulted in 911. Thank God GW was President, he held firm and continues to hold firm and believes in WINNING this war on terrorism. This WAR is not a "nuisance" to him, he understands that the AFRICAN EMBASSY BOMBING, the USS COLE, etc although a nuisance to the clinton administration were warnings to us of what was to come.
Before you push that lever for kerry, look at his senate record. See what he has NOT done all these years. i hope this helps some. I could go on but hope that others can also explain other reasons.
My children I know will be safer with a BUSH ADMINISTRATION. Because of the people he has put in place, proves to me that GW knows that he can't do it all, and because of that puts qualified and intelligent people to assist him in any capacity he needs them. OK, so do you think facts and figures are going to persuade her, or compelling articles by good authors? Personal interest stories about the President and his family? His faith? Is she a mom? Is she actually AGAINST Bush, or just not for him?
(Hopefully) you know her best. What will appeal to her in a profound and permanent way?
Sen. Kerry's tax increases won't help the recovering economy any, and she'll just be laid off longer.

Kerry voted for both NAFTA and GATT. The bills were rather clear just like the resolution to go to war with Iraq.
He's for it but then he's against it. Kerry is a hollow man.
Explain to your wife a simple truth about the difference between democrats and republicans.
Republicans believe, as did the founding fathers as evident in their personal writings and the Declaration of Independence, that rights are given to people by God and their are certain rights that, because they are given by God, can only be taken by God. The right to govern a nation is given by God and, when abused, will be taken away. The individual rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights given to us by God and cannot be taken away by man.
Democrats generally do not believe in God or do not believe in a God that is active in the day-to-day life of people. As such, they treat the "by the Creator" portion of the Declaration of Independence as fluff and believe that the government has ultimate control of liberties.
This difference effects every issue. Take abortion. This is called the "right to chose" but those who call it that never complete the sentence. It is the "right to chose to murder your unborn child". According to republicans, because their is a God and that God has ordained a life in the womb, abortion is wrong. Democrats, who not believe that God is active in government, believe that the right of the mother to change her mind concerning her child out weighs the child's right to life. The Greeks also thought this way. They were allowed to murder their children up to the day it was named, their 28th day of life.
Every issue is effected by this simple difference. Taxation, welfare, size of the government, what the government is responsible for as opposed to individual personal responsibility, etc. Everything.
To believe one is voting for an individual demonstrates a total misunderstanding of how our political structure (at the federal level at least) works. This election only makes the differences in parties more profound then ever before.
Who supports John Kerry? The ACLU, who makes it their mission to ensure the 10 Commandments are hidden from any public building and ensures public officials cannot wear a cross necklace or pin. Trial lawyers, who have been responsible for the rise in health care costs. The North Vietnamese, who have a picture of John Kerry in their Communist museum with the label "War Hero" under it. Kim Jung Il, the crazy North Korean leader who has a couple of nukes on the auction block. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of Iran, who likes John Kerry's plan to provide uranium to his country in exchange of a "promise".
Listen, things may be bad now, but they are not as bad as they could be. We have had a rough four years, especially since our world change on 9/11. We do live in a different world. Kerry does not realize that.
Your wife may not be a sports fanatic, but here's a simple truth she might understand: you don't change coaches at half time. It never works.
We cannot afford to lose this game. This is not the time to change.
I'm a pro-Bush woman....a mother of 3, grandmother of 2, wife of 40 years and very conservative. In my opinion...outsourcing, no matter that it really hit home...and questionable over-spending (medicare)...and a series of things could make you think that Bush or Kerry is the same choice. What it all really comes down to is 'SECURITY'. If we don't have security nothing else matters. Are you willing to entrust our nation and our security to someone who wishes to wage a "more sensitive" war on terror? Are we willing to go back to the 8 yrs of Klinton foreign policy which just said "close your eyes and you won't have to think about it!" As a result of that kind of thinking...and not caring...9/11 happened. Do you want a man who has lied about his past military record...(we don't know what's true because he won't sign the 180 to release his records). Do you want to elect a 'tax and spend' Massachusettes liberal who makes Ted Kennedy look like a conservative? Do you want a man in the White House who has had nothing BUT the presidency on his mind for the last 30 years...instead of thinking about the security of the nation? Check his voting record. He has voted against most of the very military equipment which we are using today to try and defeat the terrorists who want us all DEAD? Kerry's morality is also extremely questionable...just look at how he views his religion. He has literally dumped it in favor of VOTES which were expedient at the time for his own PERSONAL political gain. Read about what HIS church thinks of him. His integrity is in question...his morality leaves a lot to be desired and as far as the nation is concerned....HE comes first...he and the office he has aspired to for all these many years. I wish I could be more precise...but as I said in the beginning....I'm just a mother, a grandmother and a wife. BUT...I fear for my family (and this wonderful nation) should Kerry get elected. No matter what your choice, I wish you peace. God Bless you and your family and I will keep you and yours in my prayers.
Just read through all of these posts and these Freepers both men and women have given you alot of amo. I have been working at our Rep Headquarters 2 entire days a week and have had many young men come in with your same converns. After a little chat, they usually end up saying that they feel their wives are smart enough in the end to vote for Bush/security/trust and forget the other stuff that seem trivial during these times. I also have been recommending they purchase Sean Hannity's Tour DVD which seems to change some minds as well. Not much time left but good luck...PRAY for our President.
Please ask your wife to consider the fact that Bush has had tons of actual leadership experience. He been a Governor, and a President and a mighty good commander-in-chief, too. Also, wasn't W a CEO or something? And didn't he own a baseball team? (Appeal to her sports sensibilities)
Tell your wife to think of the leadership postions that K has had. Four months as a 2nd louie doesn't count--they're on the bottom of the ladder--and just being a fillibustering Senator from Massachusetts doesn't require anything but a big mouth.

1) Does your wife want to wear a burka?
2) Does your wife want your grandchildren to be Moslem.
3) Does your wife want her taxes to be tripled.
4) Does your wife want your children to be indoctrinated that all varieties of sexual perversion are both normal and to be celebrated.
5)Does your wife want all manner of Christian theology to be labled hate speech.
6) Does your wife want self defense to be a crime the way it is in Britan and Australia,France or would she prefer roving bands of gang rapists to have free Reign.
If she answers no to these questions she is a Bush voter.
My own political journey has been one of gradual awakening interspersed with occasional jolts of reality. I was never a registered Democrat, and never swallowed all the lies and distortions of our media - only some of them. I always supported gun ownership and never disparaged our military. My parents fled communist Czechoslovakia, leaving me very aware of the dangers of socialism. Nevertheless, I was heavily influenced by the feminist push to "have it all" and bought into the notion that one could support abortion rights while still personally being against abortion. Being pretty ambitious and working in a business environment, I was fiscally conservative and socially moderate. My views have changed dramatically over a period of some 25 years, but my conservative roots were always there.
As I think back on what influenced me in a more conservative direction, it was a combination of life experiences, conversations, parenthood, my deepening faith, and reading that changed my thinking. My husband was most instrumental in pointing out the bias inherent in much of the mainstream news reporting. If your wife is a reader, you might suggest "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg. He offers powerful insights into how bias comes into news reporting.
My views on the role of family and the value of human life have been shaped more by my multiple miscarriages and subsequent births of two sons than by any other event or interaction. My faith has strengthened my understanding of this vital issue. If your wife is strong in her faith, she must see the inconsistencies between Kerry's religious "beliefs" and his legislative history.
On a more scholarly and historical level, I was deeply disturbed by the sliming of Robert Bork when he was nominated for the Supreme Court. I went on to read "The Tempting of America", and found Bork's insights on our constitution to be quite profound and quite different from what I had been taught at my very liberal university years ago. Just reading our constitution again was a moving experience. Unlike the legalese we encounter today, it is a very clear document, astonishing in its brevity and wisdom. It is also remarkable for what it does not contain - contrary to many leftist claims.
Each of us journeys through life along a different path. For many of us, changes in political philosophy come through years of sorting out contradictory messages before settling in on a new set of beliefs. You may never know which of your comments (if any) had the most influence - it's a gradual process, much like erosion. My husband has had a profound influence on my thinking, but it was not in isolation of other contradictory information and events in my life. The combination of all of it was what made me re-think my assumptions.
