John Kerry is better choice for president (Yet another Bush was the bomb on 9/11 BUT...endorsement)
St Petersburg Times ^ | Today | The Fax Machine

President Bush has so polarized this country, and so antagonized most of the rest of the world, that it's easy to forget the breadth of the domestic and international support he enjoyed just three years ago. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, the president showed solid leadership when a wounded nation needed it most. And when he quickly ordered our forces to retaliate in Afghanistan against al-Qaida and its Taliban protectors, his decision won virtually unanimous backing at home and abroad.

Blah Blah Let's suck on Kerry's Vietnam jungle rot-infested toes Blah Blah Blah

"My son just went outside and found a Sunday edition of the Times in our driveway. "

Sarasota Herald Tribune has done that often down here.
I'll take the paper and return it to the front door of the HT office. I try to get there as they are opening, and I'll start a rant about leaving their trash in my driveway. I LOVE the look on their faces first thing in the morning....HA HA HA

Remember all the Dems walking around after 9/11 and saying they were glad Gore wasn't President?

BTW, are you sure you're a balrog?

This would really only be NEWS if the St. Pete Times endorsed Bush. This endorsement is as predicable as increased darkness after sunset.

Here's a copy of my letter to the editor:

Subject: re: John Kerry is better choice...

It is not the mere endorsement of Kerry that I take issue with, but rather the logic used to come to this conclusion.

Let me ask you: Why is the country so divided? Who fostered hatred for Bush by claiming he knew 9/11 was going to happen, and then refused to offer an apology when this turned out to be false by the 9/11 commission? Who repeatedly yells that George W. Bush intentionally lied to the American people about WMDs when he was making the best decision available at the time upon British and Russian intelligence in addition to our own (it was Russia that informed us of Saddam's intention to purchase yellow-cake uranium)? Who cannot accept the fact that George W. Bush won the last election and tries to play the "race-card" even with the lack of concrete evidence of any voter disenfranchisement or intimidation? Who produced forged documents to try and attack the President's character on national television?

This nation is so divided because of people like George Soros, Al Gore, Howard Dean, and other Democrats who mercilessly throw lies about the President left and right in the hope that he will be crushed. George Bush could probably sue for the largest defamation of character lawsuit in the history of mankind.

If your main concern in this election is division, vote against the party that is CAUSING this division. Vote against the people driven by pure hatred of our leader and a lust for power. Tell them that we will not succumb to their blood-thirsty and malicious lies and until they choose to enter the political arena with sincerity and even a modicum amount of concern for the common good we will refuse to let them divide this nation because of their own self interest or quest to regain power.

This endorsement was expected by anyone who has ever heard of the St. Pete Times. The shocker is that the more conservative newspaper across the bay, the Tampa Tribune, refuses to endorse either candidate. They spent the almost the entire editorial page describing why they could not endorse George Bush but only one paragraph explaining why they couldn't endorse Kerry. I searched the Tribune's website as well as TBO.com but that article is not posted on either site, although all their other endorsements are posted. Strange...

Holding card to forehead... I predict I will rely on spelling checker and misuse predicable for predictable in posts.

I don't know what happened at the Trib, but they aren't as conservative as they once were.

I used to subscribe, but when their editorial policy starting to take a definite left lean, I canceled my subscription.

Let the newspaper sit on your driveway. Drive over it, let the rain pour, drop breadcrumbs to encourage pigeons to visit.

Then charge the paper $10 a day for renting space on your driveway. If they don't pay, file a suit in small claims court.

George Bush divided this Country? And Bill Clinton didn't? St. Pete Times, I think you'll see how effective your recommendation is on Nov 2.

Is it hard to see why fewer and fewer people are reading the newspaper. For advertisers newsprint is becoming a less effective, more expensive medium every year because of loss of circulation and higher cost per thousand. The St. Pete Times and other liberal rags like it are heading for extinction. I won't complain when that happens.

There are two types of Presidential Candidates:

Kerry, he cannot handle the ads by the Swift Boat veterans which criticize his Vietnam war record. Kerry has been crying and whining over these ads and can’t handle it anymore, he has even filed a complaint. What type of Commander In Chief would he make if he can’t handle the heat?

Bush, he can handle the heat from moveon.org, Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9-11 movie, war protestors, terrorists, and the world. He is a tough strong Commander In Chief and a fearless warrior who keeps on standing tall, positive, and strong. Nothing fazes President Bush.

On November 2004 I will vote for President Bush. I would like to see a real man as our President and not a rich spoiled crybaby Gigolo.

I'm just wondering one thing.

Do the RATS really think John Kerry is going to be able to unite the country? I doubt it. I think there are an enormous number of Americans who think Kerry is guilty of treason, myself included, and that if elected, their anger will get deeper and louder. These men, such as the Swift Vets will NOT simply go away if Kerry wins. We will be more divided then than ever before.
