The libertarian party is nothing more than a DNC front operation.

Let this be a warning to all conservatives.

Voting for anyone other than Bush, or staying home IS a vote for Kerry.

Don't be responsible for delivering the country to Kerry!

I'm sorry to disagree, libertarians, stoned or straight, instinctively know the Left is the enemy.

Whether the choice is a big, or little "C" pubbie candidate, they will, other options denied (viable libertarian candidate-usually at the local or state level), vote Republican, or stay home, and "hang around the shack, and get a good buzz on". (stolen lyrics-just don't know who to attribute them to)

When they stay home, that's fewer votes for Bush and it's better chance for Kerry.

Don't forget the 2000 election, where Bush won Florida by 500 votes. What if 600 of those Bush voters had stayed home? THEY would have been the ones who elected GORE.

:::shuddering in horror:::

You can always count on a Libertarian to stupidly serve the leftist cause. Morons!

As an independent voter and a registered Libertarian, I have to take exception to that. I am an independent voter, that is to say, I don't believe that my vote should be an entitlement program for an inferior candidate, just because of his or her party affiliation. A candidate for office must actually earn my vote.

By the way, George W. Bush has more than earned my vote for President, and I will be proudly voting for him on November 2nd.

I suppose that's why they run candidates against otherwise unopposed 'rats in liberal utopias like Boulder, Colorado?

- I agree. The libertarian philosophy is superior to the Republican philosophy (they are for even smaller government and therefore even more liberty and prosperity), but the libertarian presidential candidate is a kook fringe wacko. The libertarians also need to throw away their foreign policy ideas. They are almost bigger peacnicks then teh dems.

I think you're right about that. Harry Browne really disappointed me when he wrote an editorial shortly after September 11th and intimated we were partially at fault because we meddle in the affairs of other countries

I want to smack a lot of my Libertarian friends because the first thing they talk about is legalizing drugs. That makes the eyes of any interested party immediately glaze over.

Kerry bawls about Bush wanting to privatize Social Security, and I say, "Hooray, go for it!" It has to happen, because Social Security is nothing more than a government-run pyramid scheme, and something has to be done. Otherwise, we'll have a train wreck in 2017.

We're not going to be able to sell our ideas effectively until we mobilize an effective grass roots effort; realistically, a Libertarian running for President until that happens is a waste of time. But Libertarians need to get off of this "I'd rather be right than elected" attitude and get more local candidates elected.

As a dues-paying LP member, I couldn't have said it better. Sorry, folks: it sounds like a cliche but it's true - everything changed on 9/11. If we don't take national security seriously, we won't be able to have conversations about privatizing social security and legalizing pot: we'll be too busy memorizing the Koran and beating our women.
