Spin. AZ Dem's asked John Kerry to withdraw. So they could be heard.

PHOENIX

THIS FASCINATING state is like the rest of the country politically -- except that it's about two weeks behind the trend.

On the day of last week's final presidential debate, both campaigns agreed that John Kerry had been closing on President Bush and was probably sitting just outside the margin for polling error. The one publicly available survey, by Northern Arizona University, showed the President with just half his September lead, up 5 points.

"...stay off the air and let the news and their work on the ground be the campaign..."

Sounds to me like they are admitting that the Democrats are confident that the news media is going all out for Kerry. "We don't need the ads, we have the news on our side."

If the Republicans had half a pair, they would launch a Congressional investigation into the partisanship of the news media. Hey, if the Dems can investigate GOPAC...

Oliphant has his head stuffed up Kerry's butt so far, that he can't smell reality anymore. I can't wait to see his face on Election night. LOL

They are just blowing hot air. They know the fact that Kerry left Arizona means he is giving up the state. If he thought he could win he would keep trying. If shutting up would win it for him why is he still advertising in other states? And what does it say about him if his own party thinks he should shut up in order to win? Not very flattering.

Survey by Northern Arizona University??? LOL, this is here in Flagstaff where I live...an extremely liberal University, that pretty much consists of anti-war lunatics, and tree-huggers!! I take nothing they say as the truth!!!

Yeah, THIS guy has a bead on Arizona.

Anyway, Oliphant is obviously sniffing the ether bottle. Arizona will not be remotely close. He mentions Kerry's debate stats about Arizona, without mentioning that Kerry called us "Arizonians" instead of Arizonans. Crack research staff you got there, horseface.

Oliphant then mentions that the city of Mesa recently lost a soldier. I live in Mesa... it's beyond Republican. Our mayor is considered a reactionary by the rest of the majority-Republican Phoenix area. But half the Mesa City Council thinks the mayor is a misguided leftie. Sorry again Tom, but you don't know anything about us "Arizonians." And if you show up at a Mesa bus stop wearing your fop get-up, I hope you're packing steel.
