I laughed my ass off on Election Night 2000 shortly after the polls closed and the networks were saying North Carolina was "too close to call". Then they said South Carolina, South Carolina, was "too close to call". That's when I fell out of my chair and ruptured something from laughing so hard. Of course, events later in the night saw to it that it was the last time I laughed for weeks, but I had a good laugh over both NC and SC being considered "too close to call". ROFL. It still makes me laugh.
Both Bush and Kerry are spending a lot of money on that specialized internal polling. As Rush pointed out this afternoon, look at where Kerry has been campaigning, and then look at where Bush is campaigning. Kerry is campaigning in states that he ought to have in his column already.
notice that these stories NEVER mention Klinton! He did not get 50% but was elected despite that and this year is likely to be the same. President Bush will take 50% Kerry 44% Nader and all the rest get 3% and 3% stay home as always...too busy even if I told the pollster I'd vote.

I was there once about 10 years ago.
A Pretty heavily Italian area as I recall.
Isn't South Philly a pretty blue-collar Dem area?
