I read an article yesterday that stated that Kerry is "incredibly stressed by the rigors of the campaign, it has taken its toll on him."

It is not just the "rigors" of campaigning that bother this arrogant man, but the fact that his painful secrets and the sins of his past have been shouted from the rooftops.

Imagine, you are a powerful Senator---the richest politician in Washington. People on both sides of the aisle acknowledge you as a "war hero." Life must be pretty good, huh? Then, your ego gets the best of you, and you run for President.

Now, anyone who has not lived under a rock knows the truth about you.

Even if he manages to litigate and steal his way into power, he will always be a traitor, a coward and a fraud. In their hearts, his twisted and amoral supporters know this too.

I wonder if PA has been written off.

Sure, why not? I know I certainly would write off a state that was absolutely in play.

These are the Swifties, with limited resources. Not the Bush/Cheney campaign or RNC.

Not to worry. He's going to win Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

I am concerned all the new voters are voting because they think it is trendy to be anti Bush

My son is a new 18 year old voter who will be voting for Bush along with 99% of the other just-turned-18 freshmen in his class at Grove City College in PA. He said that everyone in his dorm has a Bush/Cheney sign on their doors (except for one guy who's afraid to put up his Kerry/Edwards sign...). Let's hope this school helps Bush out in PA!

The 2002 Gubernatorial race in Florida was back when President Bush had high approval numbers, before we went into Iraq and before the Dems began their Bush lied/Iraq is a mess campaign/Abu Ghraib campaign. We can't rely on the mood of an electorate 2 years ago. A lot of blood has flowed under the bridge since then.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Since 2002, we have had more tax cuts, no terrorist attacks, a recovering economy, etc. We also have a weak, uncharismatic, New England liberal with plenty of baggage as the Dem candidate, not a Southern Democrat with 8 years as VP under Clinton. The Jeb Bush political machine will again bring home the bacon for GWB. It won't be as close as the polls show.

$4,700,000. That's a big buy. If my math is correct it would have only been $4,699,850 without my $150 that put them over the top.

Seriously, the money must really be flowing into the Swiftboat Vets these days. I have heard that the Pubbie 527s in general are collecting it way faster than the Dems at this point in the campaign. Of course they all started way behind in collections and spending.

I believe that the Swiftboat Vets started with seed money of something like $400K. Does anyone have a recent total of all the contributions?

To heck with Penn. It's a lost cause. Spend in Ohio, Florida, Ohio, Florida, more Ohio and Florida!

Well, PA isn't that lost -- it's close (depending on what poll).

It's also largely Catholic, which in this election is leaning Bush.

There is a small possibility for Penn. I think our best path is to nail down Ohio and Florida. W won them in 200 and they should go to him again. He takes these 2 and the race is over!

True,,,but he HAS to get them both. That is hardly a 'given' now,,,in fact,,,Ohio looks extremely vulnerable now!!!!

Not really true. There are more states that were Gore states that are in play, with Michigan and Wisconsin being two biggies moving towards Bush at the moment. But I think the Swifties are wise in their selection. If Bush gets both Florida and Ohio, Bush is a lock. If Bush loses one, Bush will have to win a couple of Gore states. With gay marriage being on the ballot in both Michigan and Ohio, I think that will give a huge lift to Bush in those key states. Gay Marriage could very well be the deciding factor in this election.

OK, here's where the election stands: we need 269 Electoral Votes to win (because we control the House and Senate). The other side would need 270 to beat us. Right now it looks like we've got 227 versus their 200

The map looks good, but anybody who still have Michigan as a Kerry state is just plain wrong. Michigan is more than just in play, its a tossup at best. Throw in the gay marriage factor and its advantage Bush.

I well remember that the MSM and pols called the 1980 Regan-Carter too close to call....actually most pols had Carter up going into the election. Thank God that the American people had the good sense to get rid of that laughing stock dumbcrat phony fool in a landslide.

Even though the dumbcrats have engineered voter fraud to new levels I think that the American people will re-elect the President in a landslide. Then the good folks of this country need to demand through the Congress meaningful and all inclusive voter registration and voting guidelines to insure the survival of this Great Country.

The Swift Veterans, look Great in their Ad, they should be proud of it. Hope you have all seen it. By the way, as I said in another post, everyone of those Swift Vets in the Advertisement , would make a better President than John "benedict arnold" Kerry.

Agree totally. We need to crack down on voter fraud. The Dems are a dying, desperate party, which will resort to any ploy to retain their power. They have moved so far to the left on the American political spectrum, that they are on the verge of becoming a fringe party.

Rendell has already decided the PA vote. He will make sure that Kerry wins. Yesterday, we had a controversy about the late absentee ballots going to our servicemen and the worry that their vote won't count. Rendell's election spokesperson said something to the effect that "all of the overseas ballots will be counted, in fact all ballots will be counted." That means that all of the provisional ballots will be counted and all of the spoiled ballots will be counted and all of the Mickey Mouse absentee ballots will be counted, etc. Rendell will produce the votes needed for Kerry to win.

PA's not written off. It is very much in play. The SwiftVets simply have limited resources and had to make a decision as to where to spend my/our/your cash. They apparently think FL and OH are the best places they can afford to spend it. I pray they are right.

If you have not taken a look at them, please, everyone, be sure to go over to SwiftVets.com and download their latest two ads. It will take you about five minutes, if you are on a slow speed DSL or equivalent --- probably about a half hour if you are on a slow dial up.

I personally guarantee that you will not be disappointed when you see these. I watched them over and over. I am so proud of my fellow vets.

If people contribute another 2-3million, the SwiftVets could still have time to buy in PA. This was a money decision, nothing more.

Go to their site, contribute what you can, download the ads themselves and watch them and show them to others.

One talk show host yesterday had stats that the top three contributors to sKerry's campaign of lies had given a total of $50,000,000... that's right, folks --- three millionaire demoDogs. Soros was tied at $18.5M with another (Lewis/Levin...??), then a $13M ---

meanwhile the highest contribution to any of the Republican causes was $5M.
