I hate when I'm suspicious. Amazing you sign up the same day Kerry gives his response to Sinclair reporter. And then you give a bad critique on opening.

Sinclair should be commended for not buckling under pressure. Hopefully this airing will plant a seed, for those hearing this for the first time, to do their own research before they vote.

Whatever your circumstance for joining, welcome to FR.

I am sorry to say, but this sounds like emotional date rape. They call you to the party and once you get there you are gang raped by Sinclair and the Democrats.

Well I wouldn't go that far. I didn't have a lot of emotion invested in this crap to begin with. I knew that was going to a "fair documentary", which means "de-clawed", "de-fanged" and "watered-down". I was disappointed by what Sinclair chose to show, but I wasn't surprised.

Everybody that's downloading Stolen Honor--do you have broadband or dial-up? Downloading a 42 min. movie through dial-up would take about 3 days!

I don;t think that large numbers of people will see "Stolen Honor." What I DO think is that a million or so veterans will see at least parts of it. Then a flame of anger will spread through most of the veteran community. And THAT will have a profound effect on the general electorate through the "Water Cooler Network."

What I'm talking about in pool is a three-rail shot. Not a straight-in shot.

I've just never been able to believe that people LURK for that long without posting; I know plenty who signed up years ago and don't post. But why just read and never post......especially for five years?

I've told you before that I did it. And I can pass wardaddy's test easily.

We were set-up - foolishly waited for the punchline - now gasping for breath - the air was very foul - How did they get away with it?

This was poorly produced - worse the material was unchallenged.

if your media programs open automatically, it should just run. If you have windows xp the wizard opens, asks you if you want the high format, I clicked yes, it worked so guess I did right.

This is what is posted on the Sinclair Web Site. They sold their souls. Notice that they state that the Kerry Camp was involved for the past few weeks:

We welcome your comments regarding the special news event “A POW Story: Politics, Pressure and the Media,” Sinclair’s third news special of 2004. The program aired on 40 television stations around the country on Friday, October 22, 2004. The program dealt with a variety of topics including the allegations made by 13 American POWs – including two Medal of Honor winners – about their captivity in North Vietnam. All viewpoints were included in this documentary.

We would like to thank the Kerry Campaign for its participation during the private discussions that took place over a period of weeks. Through the recommendations of senior Kerry Campaign officials, several people closely allied with Senator John Kerry, including his close friend of 40-years and his co-editor of “The New Soldier,” George Butler, participated in the news special.

To voice your support to the FCC for Sinclair's broadcast of "A P.O.W.Story". Click Here

And this is the preformatted letter to the FCC:

Dear Chairman Powell and Commissioners:

I am writing in support of the broadcast aired by the Sinclair Broadcast Group entitled A POW Story: Politics, Pressure and the Media, which took place on Friday, October 22, 2004. I saw the special one-hour news program and thought that it was an informative, fair, and timely journalistic presentation regarding the role of documentaries and the media in influencing voting in the 2004 presidential election. Contrary to the ill-founded accusations by various partisan groups, attacking a program they had not seen, the news program was not a propaganda piece intended to attack any political figure.

Most importantly, I wholeheartedly support the First Amendment and the right of media organizations, such as Sinclair, to exercise their journalistic judgment in airing programming that they believe to be newsworthy and of interest to their viewers. Sinclair should be applauded for its decision to air intelligent programming that stimulates political debate.

Very truly yours,

When beloved spent a year in Korea he took the family computer. He could access FR etc when he was not at work. He was able to access AOL mail until someone abused something and it was put off limits.

Yes security is the reason.

I suppose all I can say is I hope we can get the truth out to whoever will listen.
