RESEARCH THREAD: Compiling List of Left Wing Violence Against GOP

I let everyone on the Michigan board know about what I experienced so that if they went out canvassing in hostile territory they would know what to expect. A week after I did my canvassing, I discussed what happened to a local police officer. He said I should have contacted the department immediately and that they would have had an officer act on the threats of violence. For whatever reason, it never occurred to me that these were actual threats, that these people really wanted to do me harm. I was simply too shocked to think clearly about it. These folks are my neighbors, for crying out loud! I still want to be sick when I think back on it.

I just put a magnetic bumper sticker on my vehicle a bit ago here at my dorm and drove it to the cafeteria. I came back out, not 30 minutes later.....and it was gone.

I am not really upset...it was a cheap thing I made that said "Kerry Edwards....you need two Johns to to hold their load of crap".

Gone in 30 minutes. Luckily, no keying or something was done.

I did this as an experiment for the campus newspaper and will use it in the editorial.

Has anybody found Republican examples of intimidation, fraud etc? I am trying to be as fair as I can when I write this to acknowledge that some Republicans are doing bad stuff also. But, it sure seems like it is mostly Dems.

I've got another one to report. Last night the neighbor down the street had his Bush sign stolen and replaced with a Kerry sign. This is about 50 miles outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin, in a town with a population of about 500, so I'm a little surprised they're out this far. I hope they come back tonight--I can use some target practice before deer hunting season opens.

My daughter's highschool classmate stated to her that he notices our yard is covered with Republican candidates including our great President Bush/Cheney sign. She told him"Yes, my mom is a big Republican(not obese, just very passionate about the GOP) He told her he felt like tearing them up. I told her to tell the Commie Spawn that if something happens to the signs I go after him first.

Yesterday my son called me at work upset. He was visiting a friend with several other teens, sitting out in front of the house when a couple of "Bloods" walked by and asked my son if he still had a problem with them for stealing his bike three years ago.

He said, "No problem recently", and they continued to walk down the street. Three houses down they pulled a "Vote Bush" sign out of a neighbors yard. My son and a couple of guys told them to put it back, and started walking towards them. The "Bloods" said, "We don't like Bush", and Sam said, "That doesn't matter, you have no right to take those people's sign".

At that point the "Bloods" pulled a gun and took off running, my son and his friends called the police, and the report was being taken as my son called me. I don't know if this is what you mean by "left wing", but I do know that many people are afraid to put signs in their yards here.
