JAX Rally
10/23/04 | twobits

It was awesome said my daughter. There was 50,000. It was the warmest crowd of people. Air Force 1 did a fly by which excited everyone which was so amazing. Daughter states words does not give it justice as to how great it was. Todd's Beamers parents spoke to the crowd prior to the President's arrival. My son and grandson make it on the big screen during the President's speech. Aaron Tippin played. My granddaughter age 4 was screaming four more years. One of the best posters was Democrats for Bush. The President speech was very positive and upbeat. The gates opened at 10:30 and even though they waited for six hours for the President, nobody complained. My Navy Son said this is truly Bush Country.

Oh, and I tried TWO times to get a picture of Karen Hughes and can I just say....she doesn't stand still for very long. Note to all..if you ever expect to see Karen, get your camera ready because she is a very busy person. LOL Darn it! I saw her talking to someone, grabbed my camera and she was GONE. Where did she go? Ugh!

See that little square, red dot to your left of the VIP entrance, right by the wall? It's up about 6 flights of chairs. THAT'S US! :)

I wonder if any Freepers remember the crowd that watched the Denver game on the Jumbotron at Alltel.

I guess we have something in common other than FR. I think that was the best game the jags will ever play, even if they someday win the Super Bowl.

Here's some pics I got today. Some are grainy due to digital zoom.

Today was very EXCITING! I went there with my twin sons, my neighbor and new FReeper, Cup a Joe and his wife and kids and sat with FReeper Dutchgirl. Visited with Recovering Ex-Hippie and her friend as talked on the cell with solsrchr2, but didn't connect with him at the rally. Saw OXENinFLA and Qathleen and Dutchgirls, all volunteers today. Lots of FReepers there today. Saw many of the non-FReeper folks who FReeped Michael Moore and Ambulance chaser Edwards last night too!

I think they said this was the largest rally to date, more than 50,000 BUSH SUPPORTERS! It was ELECTRIC!

The President was HOT and everyone screamed and yelled and felt really ENERGIZED! If you were within 50 miles of Jacksonville, you felt it!

Oh yeah, I sold all the remaining Swiftee stickers I had, and lots of folks got something nice for their car, and I was able to send badly needed cash to the the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth tonight, so they can buy battleground state ads!

Interesting you were willing to wait at least two hours to see Arnold today. It must have been a movie star thing for you and you state that I live in a dream world. I personally would not spend 1 minute waiting to see a RINO. I received my phone call last night informing me of Arnold's visit to Lemon Grove but had better things to do. You may have a limit but I have beliefs that are not subject to "limits". So I will continue to "hope" and tell others about the greatness of President Bush and hopefully, the days of Boxer will be coming to an end along with other democrat politicos through out the US.

I am still reverberating with the INCREDIBLE Bush Rally!
It was awesome seeing the President. He is so real, straightforward. A man of integrity, strength and such compassion. The crowd waited not only with patience, but eagerness and anticipation throughout the hours. We were all standing throughout the whole speech Bush gave!

Air Force One flying over brought tears to my eyes. And when we saw George and Laura walk out, everyone went nuts cheering and waving signs. When Bush referred to the first Lady the whole crowd started chanting, "Laura! Laura! Laura!" They are a real class act! Bush shook hands with fans in the crowd and the secret service were scurrying all around him.

I saw Chieftain with the Swiftee stickers! He was going to town getting them out! My car was waiting in the momentary logjam in the parking lot when I saw Sean Hannity sitting in an SUV waiting for the cars to clear. I ran over to him, he is so much thinner in person and very approachable. He said to me,"Thank you for coming, darlin'"

This pic shows the small side. (I'm under the flag on the right)

The big side was across the field where the President was facing!

Great crowd, the police didn't expect the turnout...took an hour to get out of Jax!

Some football games don't get this turnout!

I watched some of the rally on C Span. It was a great rally and I wish I could of been there.
Talking about Bush country, try being at a 'support the troops' rally when the war started in his hometown(Midland,Tx)! That was awesome! I still get chills thinking about that day. We even had general Frank's nephew there with a message from him. That is Frank's hometown too.
God bless Bush and America
4 more years!!!!!
