Jude Law introduced her and she came out dancing and all of a sudden her voice was on the air singing, but she was just standing there. They quickly cut the piece and went to commercial.

Is that what happened? I just caught the back end where she was keaving the stage but I swore the voice track was still going until fade out. The guitar players had big ole grins on their face before it cut to commercial.

Listen this is actually no big deal. To pull a "Milli Vanelli" would imply that it was not her voice, but someone else's. What Ashley Simpson did is use a pre-recorded track. Most musicians do this at concerts etc because the Dance moves are terribly difficult (do you really think J. Jackson was live at the super bowel?).
On the other hand (after a tinge more thought) this could be a big deal because SNL prides itself on having artists live. What is appropriate to do at a concert is not so appropriate to do at SNL.

That was so awesome to see somebody like that be exposed as a total fraud. Then she has the audacity to blame it on her band. Should be proof to the tweens and teens that the folks they idolize are just puppets for the recording industry.
