Also, Kerry Spot reader Marty says a poll coming out later today (Sunday) in a Northeastern state that had been considered safe Kerry - supremely safe Kerry, actually - will show a 2 point race. It could be just a bad sample, but it's interesting - kind of like the Illinois and Maryland polls that came out when Bush was in his post-convention euphoria.
Probably Connecticut. Last poll had Kerry by 6.
Vermont.
My parents live in Vermont. My dad claims Bush could win the state because the Republican Governor is up for reelection and is expected to win easily.
I went to my CT Republican Town Committee meeting Thurs night and our Republican Party State Rep said we could be a toss up state soon. I asked him what poll he was referring too? He said"ahh the papers were just talking about it"-hmmmm.
Gotta be NJ
Man oh man! If we see VT, CT, or NJ trending to Pres. Bush on election night, put on your party cloths and chill the champaign!
Not NJ because that is not considered a super safe blue state.
It's definitely NJ. I was at a Bush rally yesterday at Brookdale Community College. Giuliani was on fire. He absolutely electrified the crowd.

You might think this is a bit of a stretch, or just my being overly optimistic, but I have a feeling that NY may be closer than we think. Very telling that Soros is trying to exert influence up in Western NY
Has to be NJ...thank god we have Rudy G and Koch doing rallies there...I would faint if W carried NJ on Nov.2.
Bush would probably be up in NY if it were not for Manhattan. Let's hope Yankees fans take heart and vote against the red sox candidate.
Kerry up by 11% in Maine now. Never underestimate the influence of the media on the sheeple!
Coming from behind for a Rep in Jersey is well nigh imposible. It has no over the air TV station. It depends on the NYC and Philly stations. These do not offer the news coverage of republican events, even in their own states, so Giuliani, no matter how on fire, would not be heard by anywhere near a large enough audience to make an impact. Conn, on the other hand, is served by a variety of local TV stations, and the voters there are more likely to hear the republican campaign events on their news programs.
I say it's PA
This paper is totally in the can for kerry, and yet they say STILL a close race. This is the first time to my knowledge they are saying it's a close race.
Tom
It would have to be Vermont... Connecticut has a strong GOP and is not generally that safe for the Democrats.
Like the Mariachis say: Ay ay ay ay canta y no llores (sing and do not cry). COnnecticut is working hard to become a red state. This state has been solidly behind the Democrats but we have a very popular Republican governor (Jodi Rell) which has breathed a new life to the GOP. We could become a Battleground State. Vermont...maybe, New Jersey...Wow...this could be the shocker...remeber Bush was in NJ last week. The trend is in our way but it is still too close to call. Exciting election, don't you think? Poodle is running around to cover HI, MI, NJ, and perhaps CT.
If all the people in rural Vermont actually voted (I know of lots that didn't in 2000), it's possible we could switch.
Too bad we aren't worth many electoral votes...
The local news out of NYC covered yesterday's Giuliani event on last night's 11 pm broadcast. So did News 12 New Jersey.
