GEE,....wonder if the MSM will publicize this article??? They sure are quick to try and help out Kerry with publicizing the negatives but can't seem to find much positives they report on...sad for our soldiers and for we Americans...Go Bush! Let's get this war over with literally and figuratively!

Has anyone heard a rumor that we will have a air force/military base in deep western Iraq near Syria..I heard a while ago that the Iraqis were initially against it but since they have noticed that Syria has been fighting against them, they have changed their minds...
Just wondered if anyone else had heard similar things.

That is hardly what could be called a "large cache" - it's not much more than a gun enthusiast collection.
Add a couple of zeroes at the end of those numbers and then it might be a fairly large cache.

steplock, another CinC's military could have easily manufactured a major cache just to appease the critics.
Our troops have been risking their lives to clear tons of enemy weapons from the beginning of the war, with little help, recognition, or gratitude from those making the most noise today.
AP-UN-EU and other Arab/NGO terrorist appeasers may want to look a little closer at the history of this war - the public buildings packed with weapons and ammo, the sand which buried the Iraqi air force - mass graves - + ?, the daily miracles as our troops defend the freedom of even their critics for over 19 months without a single major incident resulting in US mass-casualties.
The critics have to be careful, if the rest of the world looks a little closer we might find French labels on the weapons, and terrorist $$$ in the pockets of the loudest critics...and careful, a little closer and the world might see the GOOD.

It's just that the exaggerated terminology does more harm than good - not blaming you - that was official army braggadocio.
They would have been much better off to have simply stated ANOTHER WEAPONS CACHE and left off the "large" (which it wasn't). An exaggeration, to me, is the same as a lie when it is meant to alter the truth.
