Bush Beats Kerry in IQ Head-to-Head (not surprisingly)

IQ Test: Bush outshines Kerry CHIDANAND RAJGHATTA

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2004 04:16:38 PM ] Washington: President Bush is not a bozo; in fact, he may be a near-brainiac.

An American researcher has challenged popular belief and water cooler jokes about Bush's cerebral limitations by arguing - on the basis of available records - that he is not only smart but has a higher IQ than his rival John Kerry.

Based on various academic and military school records including his SAT score (1206), conservative columnist Steve Sailer has calculated that Bush's IQ is between 125 and 130.

That would put him in the "very superior intelligence" category and in the 95th percentile, which means only one out of 20 people would score higher.

In comparison, similar (but not same) records and tests suggest John Kerry's IQ is only around 120, says Sailer in a commentary on the conservative blog www.vdare.com.

Sailer looked at school records and tests both men took when there were enrolling into the US military at age 22 and extrapolated the results to arrive his conclusion.

What's the name of Morris' book? I'm an voracious reader but am still hip deep in books to read.

"I outdid them both. I should be president. Maybe I'll write in my own name."

Me too, at least based on SAT scores and IQ tests.

I'll be your Veep.

My son has a higher IQ than either. He's in the 98th percentile.

I don't really think IQ plays much in being president.

I think the president should be sharp, but he has to be a leader and that is not measured by intelligence.

I personally think that someone with an average IQ and lots of drive and a winning personality can be president. I think it also takes lots of common sense.

I've known lots of smart people, and most of them I wouldn't want as president.

What's the connection between space shuttle and a horse's ass?

The Space Shuttle has three exhaust nozzles.

Do I win?

"While I have great respect for the man, and do believe he's quite intelligent, it's his speaking skills. They suck."

I kind of get a kick out of the way W can chop up the English language at times. Kerry's blah blah drone would put a rooster to sleep at the crack of dawn.

Some people don't get beyond that "teenage" stage.

I won't ask for numbers because I believe I have a feel for it already....it is that big.

"... The same was true for Thomas Jefferson."

That's true, though Jefferson was occasionally prone to eloquent outbursts when he wasn't stuttering in his usual nasally paleo-Redneck accent.

Alexander Hamilton was the man who could hold a crowd spellbound even if they showed up not expecting to like what he had to say.

The Leftoids have made the same tired argument for generations.

Eisenhower was an idiot...
Ronald Reagan was an idiot...
George H.W. Bush is an idiot...
George W. Bush is an idiot.

Why? Because they don't cleave to the same discredited dogma that these morons have held dear since adolescence. What infuriates them the most in the "debates" I've had with my lib acquaintances is their knowledge that I am 50 times more intelligent than they are, yet my most deeply held beliefs are 180 degrees away from their doctrine.

Watch closely the next time you make a calm, reasoned and cogent argument against them.

Their eyes turn red. Their voices rise an octave or two. Little balls of spit-foam appear in the corners of their mouths. We all saw it. Lawrence O'Donnell let the cat out of the bag last Friday night.

We've all seen this phenomenon in person. Now Everyone in America has seen a liberal in action. They practice an age-old persuasion technique:

If you don't have anything intelligent to say, SAY IT LOUDER.

How do the claims that Bush is stupid gain traction?

Because he actually THINKS before he opens his mouth to speak,so that we can all understand where he's coming from-a tact that the Dummies never quite picked up on.(Although every time a Dummy speaks, you can pretty much tell where they're coming from.)

125-130 is not a genius, it is above average intelligence and from what we have seen of the man in action, it has done alright for America and not so good for terror.

I have a high IQ, and the thought of pandering to idiots, as both parties do, disgusts me. This is because of my innate sense of decency, not my sapience.

His SAT scores are good but would not have put him at Yale if not for his lineage.

Even the SAT will tell you that Bush's 1200+ SAT in 1964 would be 1350 today. Is 1350 enough for Yale today?

Sailer however acknowledges that Kerry would probably beat Bush on a (1)current events quiz, "since (2)Bush has never seemed particularly interested in learning about the duties of his job

(1)A current events quiz on which topics?
(2)Bush probably picked up a tip or two about presidential duties from his father.
