What You Tell Me What the Hell is wrong with New York State?

Posted on 10/25/2004 7:58:20 PM PDT by factmart

Since September 11, 2001 the United States people have worried about another attack on New York. President Bush did everything he could to go after the terrorists who had done this terrible thing to the people of New York. Don't the people of New York Know that if a nuclear bomb ever hits the US chances are that New York is the city that will be hit, and still they are not standing with our Commander in Chief. They would actually think of voting for a Dove, John Kerry, at this time. I don't get it. Please, people of New York. Wake Up!

Fact: The Military backs the President 3 to 1 ... why would the people of New York not back the President of the US (Bush) at a time like this. Can you imagine how demoralized the Troops would be on November 3rd if they woke up to a Kerry/Edwards Presidency. And can you see the Terrorists Dancing and Singing and Praising Allah?

Freepers ... please explain this to me. Why New York is not backing President Bush after all he's done for New York. I'm baffled and very pissed off. From the State of Wisconsin, who I hope doesn't vote for Kerry.

You want to know what's wrong with New York State? I just drove through New York State on Route 684. God gave it the most beautiful foliage in the world, but the stupid Democrats who run the state gave it the filthiest rest stops. That's what's wrong with New York State. You asked.

Wait until after the votes are tabulated on the night of November 2 and the morning of November 3 before you assume that the people of New York are all lunatics. A lot of them may be drinking Hitlery's and UpChucky's KoolAid but I think you may be surprised when you compare the 2004 percentages versus the 2000 percentages in New York. And remember registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans about 9 to 2 in New York City.

The fact is that most of the people in NY are partisan RATS. These people would be inclined to vote for Charles Manson if he was running as a democrat. The only time they vote for a Republican is if it's a person with great personal appeal, and center/left on positions like Rudy or Gov P....I'm not even gonna try to spell his name lol

You're talking what's wrong with The City and Buffalo, NOT upstate, most of Long Island, Staten Island and the near north suburbs, where Bush should run very well.

As a relatively new New Yorker (upstate, thank God), I can say that there is a lot wrong with New York, and most of it has to do with the politicians (and a little town downstate called NYC). I believe New York should be divided in two--split the state right at the PA northern border--just continue the border in an eastward direction. I guarantee North York would be very conservative.

As a former New Yawker, I could give you an example that would explain it all, but would be waste of time.

You actually wonder why the stte that elected both Chucky (Putzhead) Schumer and Hillary to the senate is going to also vote for Kerry?

Because to do anything else would make sense!

Assume Al Gore had won the election and your city had been hit by terrorists instead of NYC. Three years later would you have voted for Al Gore's re-election with all that meant re: Kyoto Protocol, tax increases, abortion on demand, etc and having to see/listen to that toad for another four years? Enough said.

Just a slight correction the people in New York City are mostly libs.Upstate is still relatively conservative but under threat as more leave the city and bring their lib attitudes with them.Than they try to inflict us with the city life they left. Many believe President Bush provoked or was outright behind the Sep.11 attacks if that explains why they are continueing to support the dems.

Sadly, most of them don't think that far. This MTV nation has destroyed the ability of many to reason individually or to wager a common sense debate within themselves.

At times I wonder whether or not it would even change if there were numerous more attacks here.

People in this country have absolutely no idea, the vast majority that is, on what basis it was founded. Everyone seems to believe that the government is some enormous handout program and that more money is as trivial as simply printing more.

Few people know what work is any more, again, relatively speaking, and even fewer know what providing value and good customer service to paying customers are. Even less understand the role of business(es) in an economy.

We simply continue to hope that the ones who do know and understand can end up guiding the decision making.
