The Illegal Alien Swing Vote
Frontpagemag.com ^ | October 27, 2004 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 10/27/2004 1:07:26 AM PDT by rmlew

The right to vote is precious, the politicians preach. Our democracy hangs in the balance, the pundits screech.

Yes, but if we all value the sanctity of the voting process so highly, why is it that I've never once been asked to produce identification of any kind in the 16 years I've been a voter, from Ohio to California to Washington state to Maryland?

And why is it that we can't protect our elections from people who have no right to vote, no right to be here, and no right to undermine our safety or sovereignty?

While unhinged Democrats spread fear about the alleged discriminatory disenfranchisement of American citizens, they have supported the indiscriminate enfranchisement of untold numbers of foreign outlaws -- including suspected al Qaeda operatives and terrorist sympathizers.

Last week, the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported that illegal alien Nuradin Abdi -- the suspected shopping mall bomb plotter from Somalia -- was registered to vote in the battleground state of Ohio by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a left-wing activist group. Also on the Ohio voting rolls: convicted al Qaeda agent Iyman Faris, who planned to sabotage the Brooklyn Bridge and had entered the country fraudulently from Pakistan on a student visa.

In the battleground state of Florida, indicted terror suspect Sami Al-Arian illegally cast his ballot in a Tampa referendum in 1994 while his citizenship application was pending. He claimed the unlawful vote was the result of a "misunderstanding." State officials declined to prosecute.

You've heard about those satirical "10 out of 10 terrorists agree: Anybody But Bush" bumper stickers? There may be more truth to them than you think. John Fund, author of Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, reports that at least eight of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers were eligible to vote in Virginia or Florida while they plotted to kill Americans.

What's to stop the next foreign terrorist plotter from casting a tainted ballot in the nation he has sworn to destroy? Not much. According to the Franklin County Board of Elections, the Dispatch reports, the office simply "takes a person's word, that they're [sic.] a U.S. citizen."

In the battleground state of Wisconsin, the story is the same for those who are responsible for registering other people to vote. Not only do we regularly do nothing to verify the citizenship of people voting, but we also shrug our shoulders at the citizenship status of election workers. I recently obtained a disturbing set of investigative reports from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), outlining how the city of Racine neglects to ask deputy registrar applicants for identification or proof of citizenship.

FAIR's investigation also alleges that a deputy registrar in Racine registered two individuals -- one posing as an admitted illegal alien -- and reportedly advised them to lie on their forms. The report notes that the deputy registrar -- working for the open borders lobbying group, Voces de la Frontera -- then gave the couple information on other illegal alien benefits, including employment rights and bank accounts.

Law enforcement officials in Wisconsin -- which has been swamped with voter fraud shenanigans -- have copies of the report, affidavits from the couple who dealt with the registrar and recordings of their conversations. But no action, if any, is likely until after the Nov. 2 election.

Democrats at the state and federal levels have aggressively courted the illegal alien swing vote. The most egregious example, of course, was the taxpayer-funded Citizenship USA program under the Clinton-Gore administration, which abandoned criminal background checks to naturalize 1.3 million immigrants (including scores of criminal alien felons) in time for the 1996 elections.

Ethnic and racial grievance groups, with backing from the likes of Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy, have forcefully opposed basic ID requirements at the polls. And they have armies of lawyers standing by to assist them. Responsible election officials who ask for proof of citizenship will be accused of "harassment" and "intimidation." They will be accused of causing a "chilling effect" -- never mind the corrosive effect of unchecked illegal alien voter fraud on law, order and the integrity of our electoral system.

Political correctness cost us 3,000 lives on Sept. 11. It may cost us an election on Nov. 2.

Nov 3rd, we start on a voter cleanup project. Nationwide. Force the issue into the courts. There is no way the Supreme Court can say that a non-citizen can vote. And further get them to stipulate that a citizen has only one vote. Win those two arguments and win set a precedent.
No more of this BS.

I've told anyone who would listen that the Dems are signing up illegal aliens in the bars and grocery stores of the barrios. They are NOT checking ID. They support the Latino on a ticket..he gets in and promises to deliver the Hispanic vote..that's it for democratic process. That's why our governors out west support the invasion. Every petty politician on every level is bought with the promise of the hispanic vote. Because the Latino can deliver, the rest go along with anything he wants. And what he wants is open borders, amnesty, rights for Latinos, government handouts, and no immigration law inforcement. We're in deep trouble in the West, it is literally an invasion here. The numbers are staggering. Please stop it in your area before you get to this point. DON'T let them own your politicians. Fight now.

You mean, people walk in the voting center, take the cards, and go to the booth without anyone checking who they are ? I'm no specialist of US voting process, but aren't voters supposed to give some documented proof of their identity ?

In Florida, at SOME polling places, they at least make some pretense of checking whether you are who you say you are, by showing a driver's license or other photo ID, and signing an affidavit that you are voting here and now, and have not already voted, or do not plan to vote by other means.

Not sure whether this is the method in Duval, Volusia, Palm Beach or Miami-Dade, where a very large percentage of the "provisional" ballots are being cast.

We are a privileged people. We get to sit back in our soft chairs and watch the until now, the much doubted, the words spoken in disbelief, "New World Order".

Yes, we are seeing the New World Order coming to be a reality as our beloved America fades away.

I see, thanks. In France, where I live and vote, voters are required to present their elector card and their ID card. It's supposed to be impossible to vote anywhere else than your hometown - I mean, barring elaborate fraud. You can't just walk in the election center and be allowed to cast a vote.

I sure hope your election will be a clear-case victory for the Republican party, so that this illegal alien votes issue is stamped out once and for good. And above all, I hope the election will go through without some sickening terrorist attack.

Take care !

Well, even if the Republicans do win with a mandate, I doubt it'll do anything about this illegal alien problem.

The thing about your country is, the government has pressure on it to actually do something useful about the problem, because more than a few Frenchmen have shown that they are willing to vote for the extreme right if nothing gets done. I would imagine the last thing Chirac needs right now is to bleed more votes to the FN.

Hmmm, non-citizens voting for our President???

Something is wrong here.

Can I go to their country and vote?

Well, to be fair with Chirac's deviousness, he largely engineered - or at least encouraged - the success of Le Pen. To Chirac, the results of April the 21st, 2002 must have been something as a divine surprise, as he would have had a tougher fight against Jospin.

Yes, Le Pen has been extremely successful in rallying around him many fringe elements ranging from the traditional right to real neo-Nazi elements and even some Royalists. But this group cannot expand forever - some FN top men, among them Le Pen's own son-in-law, Samuel Maréchal, stated rather bluntly in various interviews that the future of the FN was not in the ballots but in the streets.

They know they don't stand a single chance of having 50,1% of the French electorate to cast votes in their favor. Their model is something between Hitler and Mussolini : rising to power either through a paramilitary coup (like Mussolini), or through a constitutional coup (like Hitler).

As for immigration, what baffles me the most is that the answer is not with new rules or new laws - just enforcing the current laws, whether in France or the US, would largely sanitize the situation. But no, our politicians don't want to be called anti-immigration, and they curry favors with movements which all but demand that there shouldn't be any control at all and that our democracies can absorb 6 billion more people overnight.

Im with you 100% but Ive already written letters to my congressmen and they have neither replied or replied that they were not in favor of improving our voting system. We have weak RINOs in office who are afraid of what the media will portray them as. When are we going to confront the liberals on this voting scam they keep pushing???

Funny how a non-citizen can come in and register to elect our president while plotting to kill thousands of Americans at the same time.

No place but America.
