"'Having been around Muslims in my formative years, I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and the televangelists paint them to be,' the statement said...."

This statement underscores the danger of this moron.

I'd say this enntire Drudge report is just a low-budget Spanish Strategy (as I've said repeatedly on the numerous threads that kept getting pulled-- and I'm not wading through the 1000+ post thread that remains). All they have to do is make the threat and try to shake up people enough to drive them away from Bush.

Which, IMHO, will not work.

Come home Adam. All is forgiven. That clicking sound you here is not a rifle bolt cycling.

Pearlman said she is a committed environmentalist and had encouraged her nephew to participate in a television show she produced. Before his religious conversion, she said, she had thought that Adam Gadahn might become a broadcast journalist.

Broadcast journalist - Terrorist - what the hell is the difference!?!?!?

"He called the Christian belief in the Trinity "ridiculous" and "gradually realized I could not be a Christian.'"

Well, the boy was right about one thing. If he can't believe the Trinity, he can't be a Christian.

"Having been around Muslims in my formative years, I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and the televangelists paint them to be," the statement said. "It was really a natural progression."

Irony is so ironic sometimes. You can't make this stuff up.

Why am I having a hard time taking this fellow seriously as a threat to national security? Is it just me? Help me understand this.

I think his parents and John Walker Lindh's parents should get together and go bowling.

About that time, however, he discovered Islam.

Discover Islam:

Prophet of Doom - Islam’s Terrorist Dogma, In Muhammad’s Own Words

Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories.
Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money.
He was a terrorist.

And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence at www.prophetofdoom.net.

Would love it if they caught this thug in Iraq on Sunday or Monday and had proof that his voice matched the one on the tape.

The real story here is that Adam Pearlman is probably Jewish. He rebelled against his hippie parents (sound familiar?) by living with his grandparents and listening to Christian radio. But perhaps that wasn't rebellious enough? So he decided to become an Islamic terrorist.

I wonder how Al Quaeda feels about the Jew in its midst?

I am amazed at the number of people here on FR who never heard this kid's name before today.

It's true: Terror Warnings are completely ignored.
