Shelby County, TN - Shelby County Sheriffs Deputies are looking for at least four, possibly five men today, who barged their way into a couples home in south-east Shelby County.
The couple was severely beaten. The couple told Sheriffs Deputies they awakened about 4:30 this morning when several men banged at the back door at their home, which is located in the 9400 block of Plantation Lake Road near Collierville. The men wore ski masks and black shirts that said POLICE. All of the men, armed with pistols, were yelling, Police! F.B.I.! Open Up! As the couple answered the door, the men barged their way inside the house demanding money.
They forced the lady to take them through the house ransacking various rooms. Not finding any money, the men beat the woman and her husband with their pistols and a cue stick from a pool table. The couple was then taken to a bathroom where their feet were bound with duct tape.
The man was able to free himself and call for Sheriffs Deputies on a cell phone that was lying on a bedside table not far from the bathroom. Investigators say the couple had no idea who the men were or why they would come to their home.
The men left in the couples 2000 Lincoln Navigator SUV. The vehicle is black and has a Tennessee plate number: NDA-676. Anyone with information about what happened should call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274) or the Shelby County Sheriffs Office Detective Division at (901) 545-5600.
Probably Democrat thugs...but I am sure the victims will blame Bush.
This sort of thing is going to make for an interesting murder case someday.
That's sufficient identification.
What did the president know, and when did he know it?
yet another benefit of the WOD - no knock warrants and criminals mimicing them.
Being a law abiding citizen who should never be the target of a no-knock raid, any incidents like this will be answered with lead.
Don't you mean "an interesting justifiable homicide case"?
Nope. Murder case. Justifiable homicide defense, maybe, not that it'll get very far. Can't maintain the status quo that way.
This is the downside of the proliferation of no-knock SWAT type police raids. It used to be that the police would NEVER act like this except against someone so dangerous that there was little doubt in either the minds of the police or the person arrested as to what was occurring.
But a home invasion in the middle of the night...I am gonna assume is criminals
For the sake of my wife and kids...
imo
The police hide it because they are busy breaking into peoples houses with the same identification (Yelling police), and people will start shooting. A cop got shot here in Memphis last year by a perp who had been robbed the week before the warrant by a home invasion.
Your dog will be killed immediately.
This is why I strongly oppose "kick in" or "no knock" warrants. There was the possibility that these were law enforcement types. So, the people comply.
If someone trys to come through my front door by force at night then I MUST assume they are criminals and they will be met with deadly force. Anybody can yell "police" and even shows badges and uniforms.
The 4th ammendment has seriously been wittled away.
Not likely since they stole a vehicle too which would increase the odds of additional evidence.
How do they know they were "posing"? Perhaps they were simply moonlighting. Gotta keep those skills sharp...
Until arrests are made proving otherwise, there is still that possibility. They did use proper police technique and attire.
Make sure your doors are strong and keep a Remigton 870 ready. 00 buck preferred.
No, Wolfie is an anti-wod warrior.
probably off duty.
The dog's purpose is to buy you enough time to retrieve your firearm and establish a position of superior firepower. I love my dogs but their main purpose on this planet is to give me 20 seconds.
