(Raleigh, NC) Man Caught On Tape Illegally Removing Election Signs [w/video]

RALEIGH, N.C. -- A Wake County man says he caught a campaign sign stealer on tape.
Wake County deputies arrested Edward Shook for misdemeanor larceny after he was videotaped removing signs from a Raleigh man's yard.
Bill Moore, of north Raleigh, said his free speech was trampled when three different sets of Bush-Cheney signs were swiped from his yard in less than a week.

Does somebody really think they are affecting the election by doing this? My assumption is they have a very low IQ and they actually equate the sign with the reason someone is elected. That might work in a local election but not a national one.

I just experienced this myself, though my sign was in a large cluster of other poltical signs (both R & D) along a busy road...there was no Bush/Cheney sign there, so I went to HQ and got one yesterday to put up. Today, I found it had been torn in half and thrown on the ground in front of a perfectly intact Kerry/Edwards sign.
My friend and I taped it back together and put it back up. I'm sure it will be damaged again tomorrow, but I refuse to let these leftist anti-free speech thugs win. If it comes down, something else is going up.
