There's a big price for that exemption. Liberty.I agree with you completely and have been thinking for a while, if this is the position the IRS is going to take and our citizens allow it, it's time for churches to just start paying the taxes and make themselves free.

That's EXACTLY my point, as well as they point of the federal lawsuit I filed.
Most Christians would be appalled to learn that their Church's political wimping-out was based on their VOLUNTARY agreement with the IRS in exchange for their 30 pieces of silver (tax-exempt status)
