Milwaukee Mayor Addresses Fraud

Posted on 10/28/2004 12:20:25 PM PDT by madinmadtown

The Dem mayor of Milwaukee had been on the radio addressing the issue of the 5600 non-existing residences brought to the elections board this morning. He agrees with the GOP that these names should not be allowed to vote and that everyone voting must bring valid ID in order to vote. He is in CYA mode saying that he is requesting the DA to look into it.

There is 20 times more fraud than what they caught.

If you're sure about that then call the D.A. and give him the facts. I'm getting tired of all the negativism here.

I understand from previous threads that Wisconsin law prohibits asking for ID from voters. I doubt that he could change that for Milwaukee.

When I grew up there, it was politically honest. I cannot believe that the people of Milwaukee who were outraged by the fraud in 2000 won't fight back hard. At the polls and after the election by changing a lot of the state's laws including same day registration and no ids. Any political figure who does not respond to this outrage will not survive long. Fooled last time, but not this, I think..Fight!!

The election commission said many of the newly registered voters had improperly filled out their forms and warned new voters to bring ids to the polls.

I agree. We all know it, but proving it is more difficult. The elections board won't accept pictures of empty lots and the USPS records as proof. They are willing accomplices of stealing your vote and mine.

The fact we know that the Libs are nothing but a big fraud is "negativism"? The facts are, we know that only 1 in 20 criminals get caught. The facts are, they are catching people throughout the country sending a clear message for those who try. The facts are, there was 20 times more actual fraud by the libs in 2000 than the libs tried to claim against American who cast a legal ballot. The facts are, there was 2,000,000 times less actual oppression of voters than was claimed.

5600 non-existing residences brought to the elections board

Must be awfully small residences.
Were the residents even smaller?

Wow! Is that just for Mulwaukee? What about Racine, Madison, etc.? And isn't there on-site registration in Wisconsin?

In Wisconsin many of the 130,000 newly registered voters were not properly registered. The 5600 wrong addresses is only the tip of the iceberg. In Milw for example all newly registered voters with incorrect info were sent cards in the mail. Many, many of those were returned. IF these people show up at the polls, their name will be ON voter list, but with an asterisk next to their name. This means they HAVE to show ID validating their address (ie electric bill ,DL, rent bill within 90 days, etc.) If they do not have the proper ID, they can cast a PROVISIONAL ballot which is set aside and held until they return by 8pm with proper ID. IF they do not show up with proper ID by 8 on election night, the ballot is DISCARDED.

The Bush?Cheney orgainization in MIlw co has 1000's of trained voluteers(Including many, many voluteer lawyers) who will be monitoring the polls to ensure a semblance of honesty. The mere fact this is being so publicized will help keep fraudulent voters from showing up and risking getting caught. NO mickey mouse, superman, donald duck voters in Milw this year folks. I and 1000's of voluteers and dedicated to making sure that DOES NOT happen.

Also, the county executive this time is the first REPUBLICAN elected to that position in forever, and property taxes and taxes in general are a big issue. Last election, Bush won 38% of vote in Milw CO, and lost the state by less than 6000 votes. This time I think Bus will get 42-44% of the county vote and that would make it damn near impossible for Kerry to win the state. The western counties have a huge GOTV campaign for BUSH this time and that will provide an even bigger cushion for him.

Milwaukee is of course full of fraud and probably always has. The problem is what kind of proof does this partisan election commission need? Apparently not pictures and addresses. So in these peoples minds you have to have the person who filled out the fake registration form come forward with the truth.

The difference is that we are prepared for a long fight. One doesn't survive the Wisconsin winters by being weak, and the Republicans should be energized. We have told them that we know what they are doing and we need to publicize this as much as possible. We need to tell our RAT friends that we hold them personally accountable as accomplices to the fraud. We need to get to the teacher who believes that as long as she is teaching, she is a saint, no matter what her union dues support. We need to make the "good" rats understand that they are common thieves and nothing more.
