Schilling Urges Voters To Choose Bush On Morning Show
CONCORD, N.H. -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, who urged people to vote for President George W. Bush on a national television show Thursday, will appear with the president on Friday in New Hampshire, a campaign spokeswoman said.
At the end of his interview about his team's World Series victory on ABC's "Good Morning America," Schilling signed off: "Tell everybody to vote. And vote Bush next week."
The president congratulated the Red Sox' owner and president by phone -- and thanked Schilling for his support.
Schilling won Game 2 of the World Series and Game 6 of the American League Championship series despite a torn tendon sheath in his right ankle that will require surgery.
He is scheduled to appear with Bush at rallies in Manchester and Portsmouth on Friday, campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella said.
Tuesday is shaping up for a HUGE HUGE SWEEP
Gulp...as a Yankee fan, I must say, it's becoming very difficult to not like this guy.
If Kerry wins I don't foresee the BoSox pitcher being invited to the inaugural parade!
Charlie Gibson crapped his pants when that happened.
If Tom Brady came out (I think he's a pubbie) Kerry wouldn't even take Mass.
Curt is da man!
Hee. That's all. Just Hee!
I love the "In your face" in Kerry's own backyard.
As a Braves fan, I've seen him embarrass our hitters for years..I'm just glad he is in the Am. League now. He has always had a rep of being a very good person but this just makes me like him that much more. He'll end up in the Hall of Fame someday.
He's going to wave the bloody sock!
How much does a celebrity endorsement mean to you.
What type of person is swayed by a celebrity in a presidential election. If I really, really didn't know who to vote for (impossible for me to understand how that can be) I still wouldn't look at a celebrity to influence me. I'd be listening to politicos who I have shared opinions. Not a singer, an actor, baseball player, etc.
If Bush wins New Hampshire he is unbelievable shape..
National Review says internals show FLorida is in the bag.. and New Mexico is going Bush this year big as well.
Out of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, OHio, and Pennsylvania..
BUSH ONLY NEEDS TO WIN ONE OF THESE 6 STATES TO WIN!! And he leads in 3 of them (Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio), and they are deadheats in the others (Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania).
HE ONLY NEEDS TO WIN ONE OF THESE!!!!!!
From your lips to God's ears...and as a Yankee fan...the sooner the better! :o)
Curt Schilling has cemented his place as my favorite baseball player over the past few weeks. Between his prayer for God's help before his second ALCS start, his fortitude in pitching great games on a gimped ankle, and now this, I admire the heck out of him.
Yeah baby! W deserves every vote he gets. The trashing of this good man by the left has been too much to take.

And a bit more about Schillng and his father...
Curt Schilling, World Series co-MVP pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, announced the birth of his fourth child, Garrison Michael, last Thursday. "I am incredibly thankful that God has given me such a wonderful family," said the proud dad. Some believe Garrison's birth was a miracle since Curt's wife Shonda was battling melanoma during her pregnancy. In December, Shonda had the last of her five operations, and today she is cancer free. "Her battle hasn't made me a better pitcher," Curt has said, "but it's made me a better person, I hope, and a better husband and father." Schilling pays tribute his own father's influence. During one Little League season, Curt was upset because he thought the coach wasn't playing him enough. His father told him, "Then it's your job to work harder and become a better player. Make the coach change his mind about you." Curt says, "I've never forgotten that advice." Schilling's father died just a few months before Curt's major league debut in 1988. But Schilling reserved a ticket for that game so one seat could be left unoccupied--for his dad. And he has done the same for every game he's started since. "I thought it was cool that among 50,000 fans there was one empty seat in the ballpark during the seventh game of the World Series last year, and it belonged to my dad. His memory and his impact on my life are always with me."
The left is gearing up to attack this man. Beware.
Yankee fan here too, but I live in MA. You have to give Schilling his due. He did some great commercials for Dunkin donuts when he got here. Mostly about learning to speak Bostonese, "Paaahhhk the caaaahhh". Poke fun at himself. There were also commercials showing his work ethic. In one of them, he is doing push ups with his little girl sitting on this back. He is one hard worker. I'm glad he will get the WS ring. He earned it.
Oh I don't know ..... dumb jocks maybe?
After Curt appears with Bush in NH on Saturday, maybe he can swing by Philly (where he pitched for many years) on Sunday or Monday. It can't hurt.
Someone just called Howie Carr with this -- I think he said the Manchester rally is at 9:00 a.m. and Portsmouth at 11:30.
Pray for W and Our Election
OHIO, OHIO, OHIO!!!!
And of course, Peter Angelos was too much of a moron to have the Orioles take him!! Peter...sell the team NOW! Maybe now that DC has a team, he'll freakin' put "Baltimore" back on their road jerseys.
I'm watching the vid of the interview.
Curt comes across humble and likeable. Gibson mean spirited and condecending.
MSM hates when they get off script with pro America, pro Bush, and pro conservative commentary.
I wonder if they snipped out his call to vote for President Bush for the Left Coast time frame
A couple of freepers on the left coast said they didn't see it: one said they seem to have substituted another interview, and the other may have tuned in too late (wasn't sure).
Can of whoop-A$$ anyone???
My wife said that Charlie Gibson looked like he swallowed a goldfish when Schillling said that.
Since he'll win four for sure, likely five, and possibly all six, life is good.
Kurt, I'm a Bosox fan until the next baseball season starts :)
I wish I could get every Freeper Fretter over Ohio to buy one copy of my new book, "A Patriot's History of the United States" WHEN Bush takes OH by 5%. Then I'd be both rich and a winner.
Good news! I actually think this alone could win us New Hampshire.
Is the GOTV effort there kicka$$? Any NH freepers wanna tell me?
Curt did to the Yankees and Cardinals about what Harmison did to the Windies (7/12).
Bush has the Bosox, Kerry the Botox
Wow! This is great news!
