Schilling Urges Voters To Choose Bush On Morning Show

CONCORD, N.H. -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, who urged people to vote for President George W. Bush on a national television show Thursday, will appear with the president on Friday in New Hampshire, a campaign spokeswoman said.

At the end of his interview about his team's World Series victory on ABC's "Good Morning America," Schilling signed off: "Tell everybody to vote. And vote Bush next week."

The president congratulated the Red Sox' owner and president by phone -- and thanked Schilling for his support.

Schilling won Game 2 of the World Series and Game 6 of the American League Championship series despite a torn tendon sheath in his right ankle that will require surgery.

He is scheduled to appear with Bush at rallies in Manchester and Portsmouth on Friday, campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella said.

If Kerry wins I don't foresee the BoSox pitcher being invited to the inaugural parade!

Man. That will leave a mark.

If Tom Brady came out (I think he's a pubbie) Kerry wouldn't even take Mass.

As a Braves fan, I've seen him embarrass our hitters for years..I'm just glad he is in the Am. League now. He has always had a rep of being a very good person but this just makes me like him that much more. He'll end up in the Hall of Fame someday.

Question:

How much does a celebrity endorsement mean to you.

What type of person is swayed by a celebrity in a presidential election. If I really, really didn't know who to vote for (impossible for me to understand how that can be) I still wouldn't look at a celebrity to influence me. I'd be listening to politicos who I have shared opinions. Not a singer, an actor, baseball player, etc.

If Bush wins New Hampshire he is unbelievable shape..

National Review says internals show FLorida is in the bag.. and New Mexico is going Bush this year big as well.

That means...

Out of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, OHio, and Pennsylvania..

BUSH ONLY NEEDS TO WIN ONE OF THESE 6 STATES TO WIN!! And he leads in 3 of them (Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio), and they are deadheats in the others (Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania).

HE ONLY NEEDS TO WIN ONE OF THESE!!!!!!

I heard this on the radio. Curt said vote for Bush, and the interviewer responded with something like "... and that comment will really serve to divide this nation during the election season... " He couldn't wait to terminate the interview.
