You're making your point. The sign stealing isn't helping the Dems.
I certainly haven't heard of any DNC offices being fired upon but I have seen plenty of incidents of such violent vandalism against GOP offices.
The MSM has not discussed this national trend nor asked John Kerry to issue a statement on the matter. So much for the "uniting" he talked about doing in the debates.

They just don't get the hypocrisy of stealing our stuff.
Make the sign as messy and dirty as possible. Most lubricants are transparent so it won't obscure the sign's message. But when the thief comes by and throws it into the back of his volvo wagon you want to make sure that the grease drips everywhere to teach em a lesson.
I did this with my signs in 2000 and the local elections in 2001. During the latter I actually caught a Democrat in the act and witnessed him tossing the grease-covered sign into his back seat. He was already driving off before he realized what had been done to it, but I took great satisfaction in the string of profanities he let out as he drove down the street. That was about a week before the election and I didn't have any more problems with thieves after it. He learned not to mess with my signs any more.

How about a sign that says: Last election I voted Gore/Lieberman, this year I`m voting Kerry/Edwards, or better yet: A Loyal Democratic Voter

Thanks for calling me back here. You may be surprised by how many people you influence- biting humor appeals to a lot of people, and signs like those are a type of personal testimony, which is always powerful.

You got the right idea and, trust me, it works. I've been doing similar things to my signs every year since the 2000 elections. They get stolen once but that's all it takes. The next time the thieves steer clear. I was outside on the side of the building one time and even witnessed the thief in the act. He threw a sign coated in WD-40 and axle grease right into the back seat of his car before he realized what I had done to it.
