Our response to the sign stealers...
I covered my business sign with the big Bush/Cheney sign and we dotted the yard with new signs.
Down the hill, other big signs were just slashed out and stolen. My husband made a large template and now they are wood instead of vinyl. 2 at the bottom of the hill and one at the top have all been replaced.
Oh yea, and we added one that wasn't there before.
We dotted new signs all along the hill.

One of ours says, "They can steal our signs, but they can't steal the White House!"

Just got done resetting some new Bush/Cheney 04 signs as they have been stolen twice now. This time the edges are smeared with a 1/4" of roofing tar. Then I scattered a couple gallons of fresh Huskie poo pies around them.

I used to manage an autoparts store in Virginia and we sold automostive grease made by Drydene it was a black Moly grease -- this stuff could not be washed off with automotive hand cleaner kerosene or gasoline. I had a customer that came in a told me that a school had been having problems with kids climbing a flag pole and breaking in a school yhe put this stuff on the flag pole and the persons got it all over themselves and were later arrested with the telltale grease on them.
I am advising that you put a thin bead of this stuff on the edges of your signs. If someone steals them they will get this stuff all over their hands and car and it is next to impossible to remove. cheers!

How about a sign that says: Last election I voted Gore/Lieberman, this year I`m voting Kerry/Edwards, or better yet: A Loyal Democratic Voter

Hmmm. Red X's. That's an effective response.
On my street to the best of my knowledge, no signs have been stolen.
However, one street over there is a small sKerry sign and yesterday a hand-made sign appeared next to it, "STOP STEALING MY KERRY SIGNS!"
First I've ever heard about any sKerry sign being stolen.
I was tempted to steal his "STOP STEALING" sign.

I haven't and won't steal sKerry signs. That would be wrong and illegal.
As for the red x's, My ISP seems to have crashed. Come back later.

Something is wrong with your picture host - it hangs up browsers waiting for the downloads. After 15 minutes all but 3 pictures failed to load.
