Dear LORD,
Your word says if your people who are called by your name will humble themselves,pray, and seek your face, and turn from their wicked ways you will heal our land. Father many of us have been praying for our nation, seeking your face to plead with you to establish a God fearing man to lead our nation. We know that Pres Bush relies on you and we beseech you to move your people to go vote for him today. Put in the heart of all people in this nation who claim your name to vote . Please convict them not to vote according to money or womens' right but to vote for life and character, two things you have declared in your Word are important to you, a good name is better than silver or gold. We have no wealth unless you give it, let the people realize that it is you and not the government that brings material blessings. Convict their hearts to vote to uphold the sanctity of life for unborn babies. Father teach us what it truly means to humble ourselves before you so our prayers may be answered...we are willing to obey you Lord and turn our hearts toward you and following you in all humility. Please forgive our nation for the anti-God practices which have been condoned by our people. Help us Lord to be a light in the darkness to lead the lost to you. Every soul is precious to you and they need you in their lives, help us follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to share Christ's loving sacrifice for them and lead them to you. Show us Father the things we try to hide from you and others which aren't right in your eyes, let us be holy examples so your name will not be dishonored. Protect us from evil Lord and guide us today. Show each of us what you would have us to do today, lead us in the path you've prepared for us. Let our hearts and minds be bathing our nation in prayer today Jesus and always. Lord please don't deliver us to wicked rulers who ignore your teachings and make a mockery of your name by their actions. Our country has sinned great sins and needs to return to you, we ask that the Holy Spirit work in the hearts of those who have turned from your ways and bring such strong conviction that they will find no rest until they repent and return to walk in your ways. Disrupt the plans of any who would seek to disrupt our election process today or bring harm to our country. Protect us as only you can. Heal our land as only you can. Please bring us out of the wilderness journey our nation has taken because of her disobedience. Lord we are seeking, we are knocking, we are asking! We believe you will show us great and mighty things that we know not, we are calling on you. Let America be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, strong and fruitful, may we stop accepting ungodliness in our own lives and in the practices of our nation.
Lord, President Bush is not ashamed to speak your name and stand up for what is right according to you. He doesn't seek to please man and has been criticized because of it. You have strengthed him and blessed him with wisdom from you. Please bless him to be our President again. We thank you for him Lord, he has been a blessing to our nation.Thank you for the love and salvation you give us! Thank you for your grace! Thank you for your mercy!
Father may your name be glorified in the events of today.

I humbly ask the Lord to allow his servant President Bush to guide our country once again for 4 years. May God Bless our President, and our Troops, and this Nation now and forever more.

I ask with great humility and praise that the Lord hears our prayers this day and all days.

O Lord,
Election Day is upon us.
Lord, in your wisdom,
you set us up
with this form of government,
and we acknowledge your leadership.
This day, we ask you
that voters be guided by your hand,
that those who would disrupt the electoral process, or commit fraud find your mighty hand blocking their path,
that you guide, protect and bless those working the polls who try to do their job honestly,
and if it your will, that George Bush,
a man who loves you dearly,
will be reelected to guide this nation for four more years.

O God, we acknowledge you today as Lord,
Not only of individuals, but of nations and governments.

We thank you for the privilege
Of being able to organize ourselves politically
And of knowing that political loyalty
Does not have to mean disloyalty to you.

We thank you for your law,
Which our Founding Fathers acknowledged
And recognized as higher than any human law.

We thank you for the opportunity that this election year
           puts before us,
To exercise our solemn duty not only to vote,
But to influence countless others to vote,

Lord, we pray that your people may be awakened.
Let them realize that while politics is not their salvation,

Awaken your people to know that they are not called
           to be a sect fleeing the world
But rather a community of faith renewing the world.

Awaken them to know that the same hands lifted up
           to you in prayer
Are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth;
That the same eyes that read your Word
Are the eyes that read the names on the ballot,
And that they do not cease to be Christians
When they enter the voting booth.

Awaken your people to a commitment to justice
To the sanctity of marriage and the family,
To the dignity of each individual human life,
And to the truth that human rights begin when
           human lives begin,
And not one moment later.

Lord, we rejoice today
That we are citizens of your kingdom.

May that make us all the more committed
To being faithful citizens on earth.

I don't think I'm being premature and I think God blessed our country on Tuesday. I think He knows how I feel about it. I've been jumping up and down, I can't yell because my husband is asleep :-} God is good.
