Websites for election coverage

Posted on 10/30/2004 2:27:47 PM PDT by Darkwolf377

When you're waiting for updates on FR, what are the BEST sites for political news updates? The ones I jump to are Drudge, Lucianne, NRO/KerrySpot, RCP. Horserace Blog, Hugh Hewitt.

I'm gonna be planted here on election day, so any other sites I should bookmark? Frequently-updated ones a plus.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: election; electionday; web
Thought we could all use info resources for Tuesday.

If it's anything like election night in 2000, pretty much all of the news websites, including FR and drudge, will be very hard to access on a regular basis.

TV might be slanted, but it doesn't run out of bandwidth when too many people tune in.

This is the best site by far. Within a couple of minutes of news posted anywhere else or broadcasted on any network it shows up here.

There is no comparison to the live threads on FR for breaking news. The only problem is, sometimes it slows to a crawl.

Also, for a fee ($6.95) Glenn Beck will be running continual election coverage over an audio, and I think video, link on the net, all night long.

He promises to "say what he thinks" since it evidently won't be a sponsored show, just a webcast to those who have paid for it.

If you want the numbers, go to the official SoS sites for the states that are supposed to be close.

The advantage is, if you sign up for the night, you have access to his insider site for the entire month, and he's got some pretty funny bits on there that you can access.

We just listened yesterday to his bit where they were making up remarks for the "Wafflehead" float to say.

Pretty funny stuff!

I wasn't even registered to post, but I hung right in here on 2000. Didn't miss a thing.
I stayed on FOX except for commercials and then looked at the other stations.
FR held up well! Thanks to the Robinson boys!
When folks find something new..........you'll know it!;-)

Problem is, we will need backup for FR. Everyone will be trying to access the place on Tuesday. Will need more than one site. My TV will be on Fox.
