We did not experience 9-11 because we fell out of favor with GOD.

We experienced 9-11 because the leaders some people trusted were not submitted to GOD .. which translated into these leaders not being committed to caring for America.

We experienced 9-11 because a door was left standing wide open allowing the terrorists to come in.

On taxes: actually, by the time you factor in sales tax, property tax, luxury taxes, taxes corporations pay that are then passed onto the consumer, taxes manufactures pay that are then passed onto the corporations that are then passed onto the consumer, etc. -- it's much closer to 50% of your income that goes to taxes. You essentially work for the government right up until June. Anything after that is all gravy (sarcasm implied here)!

YIKES....I would suspect most people will do what I did when I first opened it. My eyes crossed, I said YIKES and I closed it and moved on.

Unfortunately we live in a "soundbite" society. People just won't expend the time or effort to read all that. Also, when you start making political points using the Bible, you often turn more away from your candidate AND God, rather than draw them in simply because you don't have the time and contact to REALLY reach them.

My pastor told a story one time. He said when he was a child they had this old old guy that was the pastor of their church. They lived in a very rural community and everyone had chores etc to do on Sunday same as any other day and the pastor respected that and thusly was very strict with his sermons, making sure that he always finished on time. Well the old guy died and they got a new Pastor. The very first Sunday the new Pastor went over time by 45 minutes. Our Pastor's father went to the young/new preacher and said son....when I feed my cattle, they can only digest a little each day, so I only feed them a little each day. Were I to drop the entire load on them, they would just trample most of it.

I am sorry to say this, but unless it sounds good, it will not be read. Most of my Los Angeles,CA friends are no longer friends because of this election.

And I apologize for generalizing, but there is something really wrong out there, many LA people just dont realize what Kerry is all about. It seems as though the LA LA land mentality is "if it feels good do it", and if anything requires a little discipline it's the Devil itself.

I am NOT aiming this at all of CA, just the libs in CA.

When I look at what you have put together it would appear that your thoughts are that America is a Christian nation and therefore if I can show scripture that a child is a living being before birth, and that by showing them scripture Americans will see that have fallen short of being a Christain nation, and that by showing scripture we can say September 11th was a judgement of God to the nation because of the deficiencies listed in your first two premises.

I will not tell you that you should not do what you want to do -- if you feel so compelled make the flyers and hand them out.

With that said I will tell you catagorically that you are barking up the wrong tree. point 1 America is not Israel. While American may have had Christian founders, and the Constitution and Bill of Rights may have been written with the Bible, God and the Ten Commandments in mind which is all Good -- very good, God did not make a covenant with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison or for that fact He did not make a covenant with this nation. The meaning of this will take some contemplation on your part

Point 2 The unregenerate mind can not perceive comprehend or understand the authority of scripture or the meaning of Gods Word. Now I can't quite recall the verse where Jesus pulled out his torah and said to his disciples the laws of Moses and said if you will obey this law and the words of this book thou shalt be saved. Now if Christ didn't do this than why does the Church feel its mission is to export morality to the unsaved by giving laws and dictates rather than preaching the Gospel Getting people right with God so that they can lead upright productive lives that glorify God? The point I'm trying to make is that all of this stuff of chritianizing the nation without people experianceing Christ as their savior is backwards and therefore unbiblical.

In you premise you say that God's Judgement is falling on the nation -- if Judgement is to fall it will be upon the church and its carnal leaders for not having fulfilled their mission of preaching salvation to the inhabitants of this nation for the last 2-3 generations. The Church has sent missions overseas to everynation while forsaking those in their own country. The Church has become fouled with greed for wealth and power building huge powerful ministries that fleece the poor the widows and fatherless. the chruch has become idolitrous and taken with christian sports stars, actors singers, preachers and evagelists showering them with praise and adoration, the church woships their worship, and errects monuments in its own name and in the names of denominations -- In my bible when a people turn to every devise of their own imagination and they feel free to replace scripture with the commandments and traditions of dead men -- judgement is not far.

Jesus made a covenant with the Church ie beleivers not Aamerica so our favorite repentance verse if my people that are called by my name . . . America? No! the Church shall repent and call on my name . . .

We have been decieved in many things we have been taught.

One needs to pray and contemplate these things. The implication of these words are very far reaching.

May the Lord grant you sight and the grace to follow on.

Good point.

Consider dividing it up into seperate flyers. People are more likely to read it.

It will also have more of an impact if they stumble across them one at a time.

Hello! Could you please rephrase that with Matt.5:18 and Luke 16:17 in mind? Thank you.

Agreed.
Libs are everywhere. But I think CA's liberalism is on a different level. It's so ingrained into their everyday life, and they do not see much of the other half. In other words, they have very little conservatism to compare their convictions with.

Here's a story for you. I live in the greater Cincinnati area (KY). My 3 daughters (ages 10, 8, & 8) and I have been going out and holding up Bush signs, that we made as a homeschool project. We usually go to the busiest intersection in town right around rush hour.

I told my girls to expect to see thumbs down, and that thumbs down are aimed at the signs, not at them. Two days ago, a car drove past us slowly and the passenger rolled down the window and called us f***ing tramps. We've had the middle finger pointed at us countless times.

Mind you, if it were a group of adults holding signs, I'd expect that. But the Dem party that touts tolerance and freedom sure has shown me how tolerant they are of children who want to have freedom of speech. TACKY!

I lived in So. California for 26 years and that is where I actually formed my conservative roots. I was really surprised to discover that most of the people that I went to school with are professing conservatives. Again there is evil everywhere and I really believe that this election is a spiritual battle more than political.

I really agree that this election is a spiritual battle. There is so much evil that we need to face, and I hope and pray that every state will have enough courage to vote for Bush because he will help us face the evils head on.

Just 1 comment.

Considering 9-11, we cannot say why in God's providence, he allowed 9-11 to occur. Perhaps it was for the reasons you stated, but perhaps not.

No one ever considers that perhaps 9-11 occured to bring judgement on the radical muslims.....

This election could be a great teaching lesson to your children about how decent people act, also about how God rewards the just and the unjust.

I am hoping that they will come to that conclusion by participating in the campaign this year. Besides learning about government, elections, parties, and personalities, I think the biggest thing they have learned so far is that people are not always who they are portrayed to be.

After November 2nd, we will certainly have a lot to discuss.

Regarding 9/11.

Yes, Jesus said repent or perish. Within that context (Luke 13) He also said this:

"Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them -- do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

We as Americans are probably not specifically *more* guilty than those in other countries whom the terrorists did not attack. Guilt for sin is a universal thing. ("For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God). Repentance is a necessity but we have no knowledge if God judged us in this specific manner at this specific time.
