I'm quite certain there are some financial issues that could put her away for a very long time. Oil for Food for one, plundering for another. She is also a witness for her father's crimes against the Iraqi people, so she may be tied up for quite some time.

Iraq is now a free and sovereign country. Whether she's a legal candidate or not is PM Allawi's concern. Whether she's fit to represent the Iraqis is the decision of the voters. And regardless of the answers to the previous two questions, no-one gets tortured or fed alive into a plastic shredder.
