This is what I said 20 minutes before the poll came out:
Two day rolling average with both days being on the weekend and Sunday being a holiday. Place you bets, and bet heavily on a result that looks bad for Bush.
But keep in mind - just like you get with any other sampling - bad data equals bad data out.
The pool from which this sample will be skewed by the weekend and holiday effect.
Granted I would rather it come out showing us ahead. But if doesn't I don't think anybody should panic.
I can get as pessimistic as anyone but why all the crybabying about this? Like others have mentioned, this is very likely the lingering result of a weekend poll. The time to get depressed, and only then, is when W actually loses, not before. If the situation really is bad, we can't change it by being gloomy.
Come on, i hope your kidding! Geez, we all need to vote and hope for the best. If we lose, we lose, but we don't go down w/out a fight!!
Stop talking about the polls and try to get the people you know are leaning towards Bush but are too lazy or busy to vote to make sure they VOTE.
If Kerry wins, the US will survive because the next Pres--after kerry gets one of our cities nuked--will finish those bastards off. So don't worry. This is not about if we win or lose, this is about if we do it now or the hard way later. We will kill these bastards because there is no way to make peace with these evil lunatics. The Nazis were much better.

I'm in your boat. I still think Bush crushes, but if it turns out for Kerry then this country will reap what it sowed.
It makes watching all these polls much more relaxing.

I interpreted it as StopDemocratsNowDotCom's light hearted jab at all who get stressed out at each new poll.
If I am correct, SDNDC is correct to mock the mania/depression exhibited every time a new poll is posted to FR.
So how long has Fox News been doing their tracking poll? I think what 4 days?
DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SEE TODAY. THEY (and that includes fox) ARE THROWING EVERYTHING THEY HAVE AT BUSH. (Remember who owns FOX). REPEAT: DO NOT BELIEVE TODAY'S SPIN!
Polls are out the window at this point: GOTV! It's up to us! If we don't so what we can, we won't win.
