WILMINGTON, OH -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling made a surprise appearance Monday with President Bush, limping to the stage to give Bush a strong endorsement.
. . . .
"On Tuesday, we need you to get out the vote. We need you to get your friends and neighbors out to vote -- tell them you're voting for President Bush and get them on board, too," Schilling said. "I know everbody wants to be on a winning team, and there's plenty of room on this bandwagon."
In Burgettstown, PA, just west of Pittsburgh, Schilling hobbled to the stage with his wife, Shonda, and said he was proud to be a member of the championship team. Then he added: "I'm proud to be on a team with a more important mission -- the team that's going to get George Bush re-elected."

Yo, Theo Epstein, take that.
He hobbled and bled to lead the Red Sox from certain defeat to unexpected victory.
Let Curt inspire Bush and the Republican Congressional Candidates on to a smashing win over some very bad people.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Schilling! There is no time more important than now.
"I'm proud to be on a team with a more important mission -- the team that's going to get George Bush re-elected."
Thank you, Curt, for stepping up to the plate for a greater good and a greater mission. It is refreshing to hear an athlete say that there is actually something more important than winning a ball game.

They should get him to Philly Suburbs NOT Pittsburgh!
Didn't give in after all!
Title should be PA, not OH.
