Pro-Bush Letter Sent to Employees --ABC Supply, Inc.
October 25, 2004 | Kenneth Hendricks

October 25, 2004

Dear Associate:

On November 2, America faces an election of immense importance. I don't normally endorse candidates but the enormity of this election is unlike any other. I urge you to vote for George Bush for President of the United States. Please consider my reasons.

There are a vast number of issues that affect us. I ask that you forget Vietnam and Swift boat veteran testimonials. Forget the impressive debating skills of John Kerry. Forget Teresa Heinz Kerry's impetuous outbursts. Forget even more important issues such as welfare, nationalization of health care, Kerry's promising everything to everyone, budget deficits, Social Security and the like.

There are two fundamental issues that outweigh all others...two issues that compel me to ask for you to vote for George Bush.

First, America is at war and our safety is at risk. You've seen the economic damage and loss of life caused by the actions of a mere 19 terrorists in four airplanes on September 11, 2001. Imagine the economic impact and loss of life caused by the weapons of mass destruction (biological, chemical and nuclear) that terrorists seek to use on American soil. If terrorists are successful, hundreds of thousands if not millions of American lives will be lost and our economy could be thrust into a depression.

We can play defense and respond once attacked. Or we can stop the attacks before they reach our shores. Neither strategy is without risk. Both involve loss of American lives.

President Bush believes the best defense is a strong offense, that we must root out terrorists in other lands before they strike America, and that rogue nations that harbor terrorists or weapons of mass destruction are fair game. So far President Bush has been successful. His strategy and tactics have, to date, stymied the terrorists and prevented attacks on American soil for three years.

Senator Kerry seeks to fight terror via alliances with undependable nations. Multi-national efforts are fine, but Kerry's "allies" have already shown their true colors, their desire to profit from secret deals with America's enemies, their desire to be the ostrich and hope terrorists simply go away.

America cannot afford to risk its security on the dependability and consent of France, Germany, Russia, China or any other nation. A war of terror is not for the weak-minded. President Bush is strong. International criticism won't stop President Bush from doing what must be done to protect us.

Second, America's free enterprise system is at risk. ABC Supply (a truly American company) was founded and thrives because of the American free enterprise system. America's economy is the world's strongest because we have enjoyed over 200 years of free enterprise and economic Dawinism (i.e.--survival of the strongest and fittest). Our economy has given us one of the world's highest per capita incomes. It enables us to afford a military with weapons systems that make us the strongest nation in history.

America's industry can compete internationally because we are used to having to produce products and sevices better, faster, cheaper...or else go out of business.

President Bush understands the free enterprise system and seeks to help us compete by removing costly government red tape and taxes that drive American companies out of business...and cost American workers their jobs.

In contrast, Senator Kerry wants America to follow the path of Western Europe's socialist democracies. Senator Kerry believes goverment knows better how to operate businessis than businessmen do. The problem with government economic controls and socialism is that they sound good...but do not work.

Europe's unemployment rates are almost double what we enjoy in America. And their standard of living is much lower than America's. American families average over $10,000 per year in higher incomes than do families in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Britain.

*********

Only you will know how you will vote in the voting booth. I ask that you vote for President George Bush. Our nation, our economy, and your family depend on enough Americans making the right decision on November 2.

I hope you will make an extra effort to not only vote for President Bush but also diplomatically encourage others to do so, too.

Thank you for considering my views.

Sincerely,
Ken Hendricks, Chairman & CEO

I work as a I.S. contractor for a very big Corporation (large portion union employees) and in a recent conference call the CEO stated his goals to be meet by 2007. One of which was:

"President Bush will have just honored us with the Presidential Award for Environmental and Safety Excellence"

There have been some good ads here, but I think that the ABC that sponsers them is auto parts.

I sometimes buy from this company. Sounds like I need to give them all my business from now on. Maybe even send a letter to the owner with my thanks for his courage to tell it like it is.

Very interesting! I have purchased over $3K worth of building materials from ABC Supply this year, and this makes me glad I did!

Good letter, I hope that lots of companies sent out similar ones.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Most large company CEOs are self absorbed and worry more about the company bottom line and don't want to "stir the pot" as it were. Ken Hendricks is a MAN. He puts his money back in the company and creates jobs. Oh, btw he manages to make some for himself too. That is what it is all about. Or should be anyway, but sadly is not more times than not.

Our schools of "higher education" crank out MBAs by the boatload and most of them are just glorifed bean counters. Caught up in "stratagies", "regression analysis", Harvard business models and the like than they are in knowing what makes America really work like Ken Hendricks does.

The advantage that Mr. Hendricks has is that he owns the company. He doesn't have to appeal to his shareholders, who might happen to be socialists (but who still want to make more money than their neighbors...haha!).

I just wanted to mention this ad. I don't think they are the same company, but I thought someone else would know for sure.

We are a public company, but, they clearly stated that Bush was better for the company. It did make a few uneducated in my group question their beliefs (doesn't matter that my office mate and I have our offices covered with pro-Bush posters & pics).

Then you have the rabid libs. No way to reach them.

If the conservatives in this country would let their $$ do the talking, both by boycotting the lefties AND supporting those who are not afraid to take a conservative stand, we could show Wall Street and the MSM how much power we really have.

I don't think you'd want the rabid libs anywhere in the same vicinity (and not just because they have personal hygiene issues) as us. 'We' would have to give more than an inch, and in no time flat, we'll have lost a couple hundred miles. Let 'em abort each other out of existence...
