MY WIFE AND I VOTED AT 7:30 THIS MORNING IN NORTHERN BRANDYWINE HUNDRED. TURNOUT WAS HEAVY. THIS AREA IS 60-40 R TO D. OTHER THAN A LACK OF PARKING, THEIR WERE NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE VOTED AT THIS PRECINT FOR 6 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN IT THIS BUSY.

My polling Place (Cedar Lane Elem - below the Canal) was packed. Mostly a R site. Got there at 7am and waited 40 minutes.
Word is the Govenorship is up for Grabs. Bill Lee has a real shot. Republican polling has it tied 49-49.
Presidential race is a lot closer than the last election (13%). This one looks like a couple of points.

Voted in Hockessin (north of Wilmington) at the PAL center at about 11:00. Place was very busy, but also very efficient. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Understand that Del has never voted repub in a presidential race. This one feels close. I can find dems who ended up voting Bush, but no repubs who voted Kerry. Hope it means something.

Delaware has voted Republican in a number of elections. Reagan sweep is an example. Bush 41 sweep also.

I live at the northern end of Kent County, near Kenton. This is a VERY rural area. I've seen Bush/Cheney yard signs outnumber Kerry signs about 5 to 2 out here.

My wife voted at 8AM, and reported a 25 minute wait. I voted at 10:30AM, and it took almost an hour. Turnout has NEVER been this high before. It's never taken me more than 15 minutes to vote before!

Perhaps this time the inner-city hordes of Wilmington, and the suburban liberals won't turn our rural votes into the usual futile protest ...

skip that, MegaPundit refreshed and numbers changed (?) NOW: B: 46%, K: 53% with 86% precincts (no chance but thanks Delaware for every single popular vote!)
