HUGE Turnouts in East Tennessee in both Bradley, Hamilton and Meigs counties. Several that I work with said they had NEVER seen such a huge swell of voters in line at 8:00am to vote. Just thought I would let the group know.

By the way, last night at Church (we had about 500 in attendance) for a "Family Life Conference" the preacher asked how many had early voted and honest, over 90% of the congregation said they did.

I've seen those ads with Bredesen too. "Fill in the blank has worked with me blah, blah, blah.."

I spent the morning up 51 in North Tipton in the rain waving Bush/Cheney/Dr. Cannon signs in the rain. This is not my precinct so I don't know if the light crowd was normal or not. It has stopped raining now so the crowd might pick up. Got lots of waves and honks from the traffic.

I would think that most of those people would have voted early. My daughter took advantage of early voting for the first time, and there was long waits, in fact she went to several before she could find one where the line was acceptable.

I'm sitting in Ohio. I got an email from my mom in TN. She said, "I am really in a delimma. I can't make up my mind. what say you?" So I responded. Long story short, I told her to vote for Bush. A little later, she actually called and told me she was on her way to the polls to vote for Bush. The abortion issue alone was enough to sway her the "right" way.

This is against the law in Tenn and should be reported.

I hope so too. I spent several hours standing in the rain along 51 with Jessica Cannon. She said that her dad's polls looked really good.

Alex. I am really sorry that Mike Fleming gave you such a hard time over the flyer that was put out in Lauderdale County. I ca hardly bare to listen to his diatribe sometimes.

We never have to wait here on the border of Memphis/Bartlett. This morning my wife had to wait half an hour. I went just before one and no one was waiting.

At one, however, I saw an amusing sight. A gentleman frantically putting Harold Ford signs out with the others on the political row. They never bother with my precinct. To be doing it this late in the day makes me wonder if his exit polls are showing him a bad result.

Only in our dreams. We moved to Tipton County to get away from Memphis politics.

I’m sure this was not an isolated incident. From all reports, it appears to be endemic. Surely, the election authorities are aware of it . . . oh, they’re mostly democrats . . .

Vanderbilt is running shuttles to take students to vote here in Davidson county. Not sure if staff and faculty can use the shuttle as well. From what I have heard there have been long lines here in Davidson. I voted absentee in Georgia so I can't say for sure.

I early voted in Bradley Co, and election workers there expect a record turnout. Early voting alone had nearly matched the numbers of the 2000 elections, and that was before the first precinct even opened there doors. Bradley should go 65% + for Bush, probably over 70. Wamp should waltz back in as well.

I'm hearing rumors of light voting in town. Did they not pay the NAACP enough? I'm sure Ford will win, but it sure would be nice to dream.

Well if he voted Democrat, he was plainly outnumbered, 10-1, in this county.
