CLASH OF VALUES

CLASH OF VALUES

Even if George Bush does win reelection today it won't mean that our Republic is in a true jam. There is no way this election should be this close, but it is. The very fact that someone with no record to run on and no plan for the future, except to grow the size of government, should be polling over 40% of the vote.

Face the music my friends. America has almost reached a critical mass of "citizens" who believe that it is the role of government to smooth every bump on the road and to solve every personal problem. These people believe that it is the government's responsibility, not their own, to get them a job. It's the government's job to monitor and take care of their health. It's the government's job to provide for their retirement, take care of their children, find them a place to live, and feed them.

I guess you can say that the dependency class came by it honestly. What do you expect of people who are educated by the government? Doesn't it make perfect sense that people who are educated by the government would come away with that experience believing that government is the solution to all their problems?

Know this: The people who inhabit this country today could never pull off what our forefathers did in discovering and settling this country and in fighting for its independence. Independence is the last thing the average American wants today.

Critical mass is a good way to put it. Even old people who never relied on anything or anybody somehow suddenly realize government is there to "smooth every bump."

But seriously folks, The MSM has been pounding Americans for over 50 years, and still have MORE than half to go.
We must take steps to assure balanced objective TRUTHFUL reporting.
All you have to do is shut off the station, or cancel the newspaper that is NOT being truthful or objective. They will die due to lack of viewers or readers. It's the American way! AND LET THEM KNOW WHY!

It starts in public school history classes where they skim over the hard work and effort it took to found this great nation and go right to the post depression entitlement programs era. Kids need to get the right information and education at home. I did with my two sons, both of whom are hard working and conservative.

People have been slow to believe that respected institutions like the New York Times, the Washington Post, the three major networks, and the rest of the mainstream media are out and out LYING to them.

If the media were doing their job fairly, it would be 65-35 for Bush.

Neal has it right.

The premise of America was that government derives its power and privileges from the consent of the people.

The premise of the Left, and now of many or most Americans, is that the people recieve their rights and privileges from the government.

Notably, this latter behavior became increasingly common in Europe during the period 1871 - 1914.

Not so fast! Many Americans are learning the truth, and you can see this by the decrease in the audiance watching the MSM and relying upon the facts they find instead.

Socialism has never worked, and many Americans do not want a "welfare" state.

Here in my own small town, the government is attempting to buy up farmland under the guise of "preserving" it forever. Hogwash, they simply are taking complete control over private land, and because many Americans were able to see through this fraud, the plan was defeated and those who backed the plan were removed from office, as well as those who thought it important to pass those ordinances without the peoples participation are now going to jail for violating the states "open meetings" laws.

So you see, Americans are waking up, and I believe in my heart, that when all is said and done, they will always choose FREEDOM over government control of their lives.

God speed Bush's victory!
