I still feel we are going to win.
Exit polls were wrong in 2000.
They are wrong today.

They sample to at the end of the day predict the results. Thus a part sample both need not predict the same and it must necessarily have a higher standard error.

All I heard all fall was that exit polls are bunk when turnout is high. Now all of a sudden exit polls are all anyone can talk about? The MSM is making one last election season attack.

Be the Difference -- Call 15 Voters
It's crunch time, and you can make the difference. Call 15 voters, and bring it home tonight for President.
It's easy. First, sign up to make your calls here. Once you're signed up as a Bush Volunteer, go to GeorgeWBush.com/Call/ to get your list of 15 swing state voters to encourage them to get out and VOTE.

Fox is saying that the missing explosives turned some voters; 64 percent of those people going for Kerry.
Fox is also saying that a LOT of people want change.

Howlin, I'm leaving cubicle-land in about 25 minutes; Mr. Inspectorette and I are going straight to our polling place to cast our vote for President Bush. (Yes, even though this is California, we want our votes counted.) I'm a nervous wreck - have been all day with these ridiculous exit polls.
Thank goodness this will be all over with tomorrow, and President Bush will be comfortably settling into his second term in the White House.

Keep the faith everyone. Talked to my brother in Florida, the word he is getting from Okaloosa County GOP is that they are very confident Florida is in the Bush column. Also said things look very good for Martinez as well.
As has been said, the Early Exit Polls where all way off in 2000 and 2002 -- no reason to think they are not way off this year.
Everyone around B/C and the GOP is upbeat, it may be a long night, but it will be a good night -- keep the faith!

The bastards.
FOX is the only halfway trustworthy member of the Consortium. According to Pukin' Dog, a disinformation operation has been underway since the beginning of the afternoon to try and throw this thing to Kerry by making the undecideds pick Kerry and the Republicans go home.
This was aimed at three states: Florida, Ohio, and PA. It may have worked; it may not have worked. A couple of signs, however:
1. Terry McAuliffe is not out talking smack.
2. Absolute confidence inside BC04 about the numbers, esp. in FL and OH.
3. Silence from Lurch.
We wait, of course. A personal note of disappointment:
Why can't the American People at least make up their freaking minds? This looks like another long night, which is what we didn't need in the middle of a war. That half the country could consider pulling a Kaiser Wilhelm and drop the Pilot (Bismarck) for a Senate backbencher makes me pull my hair out.
Oh well, should Bush lose this evening, I have one consolation: the People get the kind of Government they deserve.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
