Whatever your politics, though, take no comfort in the fact that Fox and CNN cancel each other out. For they both cancel out trust.

I guess that's why the "untrusting" public is turning to Fox, more and more, for their news.

Fox self-destructed yesterday by not calling the race as it is ...

"..It wasn't always like that. As recently as 1976, a Gallup survey found that seven of 10 Americans trusted news organizations. A survey this year by the Pew Research Center found that 53% of Americans do not trust them, seeing the media as "self-centered and self-promoting.".."

It was always like that, the public simply was not listening closely enough, nor could they easily do so. The public now has more sources of news and more convenient access. Back in the seventies if you want to research in depth on a news issue beyond your local paper, radio and TV stations you had to do it at a library.

The public trusted the media because they did not know any better and the product of the media was more uniform and controlled. Of course there is more chaos and distrust, the audience is thinking for itself.

And it continues as I type....the media will not call states because they want to deny Bush his moment.

Rosenberg media is still playing politics by hyping this BS provisional ballot story in Ohio and pretending that it is even remotely possible. They are concocting impossible scenarios to put Kerry in the White House, but they are ignoring the real politics and the improbability of the mathematics. Right now, as I write, they are at their worst, and still working for the Kerry cause.

I will never watch Fox again. They are in the cesspool with the rest.

It's a good article, but with some flaws. For example, the O'Reilly Factor is NOT a news show. I do remember when the news section of the paper was news, and the opinion was opinion and they did not mix. That is all I ask of my news.

I am intensely angry at the media for abdicating the trust that they should hold sacrosanct: providing the facts for their readers without interpretation and spin.

So the next time somebody says Fox is pro-GOP, say, yeah, that's true - then suggest a new name for CNN. Call it DNN - the Democratic News Network. After all, DNN has two advisers to John Kerry on its payroll - James Carville and Paul Begala.

This is so typical for people in the MSM... "Fox is biased towards repulicans..." BULL!!! It seems to me that the news shows are extremely balanced! For instance, just the other morning, they had John Thune on Fox & Friends, and they said that they had invited Tom Daschle on, but he wasn't available. That is the only time in recent memory that F&F hasn't had both sides on a show. In the rest of the MSM, they consider Tucker Carlson to be the voice of conservatives! And a 3 to 1 matching of leftists to conservatives to be balanced! And why did O'Reiley only interview President Bush? Maybe it was because Kerry refused to go on with him. He publicly invited Kerry on his show for months! What was he supposed to do, kidnap the cantidate? IIRC, Gore did the same thing.

This is typical bashing of Fox by another wing of the leftist MSM. "Wow! Fox sure is doing well... Well, it must be bacause they're so far to the right..." Hell, the reason that Fox is doing well is because they are balanced. They actually show more than the leftist take on the issues.

I think that the media will begin to see how badly they miscalculated beginning today.

They lied and covered and tried to make a smelly pile of dog feces look like a rose BUSH.

Let the public backlash against their mendacities begin!!!

We never did trust the media. It's simply that we have no voice for truth and honor in the media. It's all spin and a scramble for listeners no matter the truth.

For sure, the 2 big losers were Tom Daschle, and the MSM. Daschle doesn't need the gig, but the MSM is bleeding already...falling subscriptions, bad ratings. I hope the American people understand completely after this election just how dishonest and biased the MSM has been in this election.

Good article and so true...it will be interesting to see how they treat Iraq now; maybe they will even tell the truth about the economy now.
