During all those months documenting the outrageous liberal bias at The Today Show, one thing above all drove your FR reporter: the tantalizing image of Matt and Katie, the morning after Election Day, dressed in black.
It happened this morning.
There they are on the set, dressed in their mourning-clothes finest, with a black-clad Tom Brokaw thrown in for good measure.
More details will be posted below. But for the time being, let's just revel in the image. Life is good.
Dear Today Show:
You all sit around and cannot figure out why Kerry lost, and you miss the real story of this race.
It was the military vote folks. It was the Vietnam veterans and the over 20 million people who were touched by Vietnam and who have family members serving today who did not want Kerry, who threw his medals and slandered a whole generation of our American fighting men. It was US, despite the president's lackluster campaign, who made the difference.
If you want to see the real story, get one of your twenty-something (history-less) producers to check out www.kerrylied.com and click the link for Operation Street Corner. You'll see just a few samples of the incredible grassroots effort to expose Kerry and campaign against him. This is just one of the many veterans groups working hard against Kerry this year. You guys are the losers for not reporting their story. You guys are the losers in journalism period. (and I say that as a journalist).
You people wanted to say this was funded by republicans. You wanted to say it was Carl Rove. You wanted to say it was political. Well guess what? It was funded straight from our own middle-class pockets, driven by our LOVE for our dead and injured family members, who were dishonored by Kerry and his radical, lying cohorts of the 70s. It was driven by our love for our current troops, in many cases the sons and daughters of the ones Kerry smeared with his post-Vietnam lies.
You say members of Congress should have loved ones serving in the military. I say members of the press should have loved ones serving in the military. Then you might just comprehend what is so foreign to you...you cannot understand what you do not know.
Sincerely,
Campfollower
Yes, I'm afraid Kerry returns to being your more liberal Senator. But think how much more fun it will be to see him as he drags his scrawny butt around the state.
Campbell Brown trying to claim that the Daschle race is "still too close to call." This can't be, unless she knows about a trunkful of votes on the reservation.
LOL - great!
I thought Tom was going to STFU and go away?
that's just too funny
I noticed Katie in Black right away. She's such a loser.
You bet. Howie Carr will be mocking him at every opportunity.
I note the same figures, and also that there is only 1 district out of 827 uncounted. It's over.
Ho ho ho, you predicted the black clothes today!
Oh, joy! We've all waited (im)patiently for this particular report of yours, haven't we? This will be bookmarked on my profile page (if I figure out how to do it) because it's a keeper I want to savor for a looooong time.
And we would all go down together
We said wed all go down together
Yes we would all go down together
Even assuming that voting for Kerry was the "economic" thing to do (which I do not believe for a minute), Tim Russert, G-d forbid that someone actually puts the Almighty above Mammon. You wouldn't understand, you former 'Rat party hack.
Thanks, OK. It feels REALLY good this morning. By the way, to bookmark, just go to the top of the article. You'll see a link for Bookmark. Just hit it, and, pardon my French, voila!
sounds like the outfit she wore after they pulled her sweetie Saddam out of his septic tank.
