It is with profound relief and gratitude to all the volunteers, voters, the Swift Vets for Truth, campaign staff, etc., that I type up today's edition of A Day in the Life of the Re-elected President Bush.
As we now know, Bush received more votes than any previous US president, America saw a record voter turnout, and the US Congress picked up votes to increase the GOP margin in both Houses. Mandate? YES!
Stocks surged Wednesday, with the Dow Jones industrials posting a triple-digit gain moments after the opening bell, as investors expressed relief following the election and victory for President Bush.
Some international reaction: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said an election victory by President Bush would strengthen the United States and benefit their countries.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!!!!! We have successfully defended our beaches and borders, and our Coast Guard is commissioned to maintain its patrols for Four More Years!

Hi, Eragon! Rejoicing with you on this Fantastic Day!
Did you give the "all clear" yet? (Maybe I missed it.)
That's all from me for now!
Notice how the young voters for Bush are so well dressed?
Interesting how that is not the case with the Kerry voters.
We just have more class!
Yes thanks for alll the posts it has kept me sane while my husband kept saying "the Dems would steal the election that it was all fixed!!" I was sooo nervous last night.
Wheww.... now I can stop EATING ALL THAT LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN CANDY!
Thanks. BTW, for all they guys harboring faint hopes about Jenna, that was NOT, repeat, not a boyfriend she was sitting next to. It was her Aunt Doro's son, Sam Leblond (son with Doro's first husband). I thought those two cousins shared a family resemblance.
Thank you for these spectacular photos on a wonderful day for America.
God Bless and keep safe President Bush, his loving family and his remarkably competent cabinet.
God Bless America and our wonderful military.
Indeed she does. Even one of the librul newswomen said that Laura was radiant today.
There are many days that have stood out as special in posting the Dose.
This takes the cake.
The Canadian PM phoning President Bush to congratulate him. All of a sudden our Dubya is not the international parriah anymore. Hah! Take that all you international Leftists!!!
Oh, and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said through his spokesman that he was "committed to continuing to work with President Bush and his administration on the whole range of issues facing the United Nations and the world." Don't worry, Kofi, we're coming for your head next, you crook.
A keeper...

This is an "ALL-TIME PICS" THREAD BUMP! That one of Cheney and Bush shaking hands is Number one.
Indeed it IS a day to rejoice. Think of all the prayers that have been answered. What a happy day.
It's so relaxing to have it all over with already. And a wonderful dose with our friends.
Most Iraqi's (non-terrorist variety) are just as delighted as we are. Just makes a person smile all over to be on the right side today
