It is with profound relief and gratitude to all the volunteers, voters, the Swift Vets for Truth, campaign staff, etc., that I type up today's edition of A Day in the Life of the Re-elected President Bush.
As we now know, Bush received more votes than any previous US president, America saw a record voter turnout, and the US Congress picked up votes to increase the GOP margin in both Houses. Mandate? YES!
Stocks surged Wednesday, with the Dow Jones industrials posting a triple-digit gain moments after the opening bell, as investors expressed relief following the election and victory for President Bush.
Some international reaction: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said an election victory by President Bush would strengthen the United States and benefit their countries.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!!!!! We have successfully defended our beaches and borders, and our Coast Guard is commissioned to maintain its patrols for Four More Years!
the one with a Bible clutched at her breast, said, "Hi, we're here to discuss the world situation....blah..blah..blah"....I looked at her, BEAMED
Those would be Jahovah Witnesses. They don't vote, fight,
salute the flag etc. They are leaches on society.
Here I am again, late to the party. Thanks for the ping and the pics, Gretchen!
I think it was injured in a car accident.
Ohio:
You told us earlier that President Bush would take Ohio and you didn't let us down. Thanks for all of your hard work in the State of Ohio and to anyone else in any other state that made the re-election of our President and Vice President possible.
Second of all, thanks to each and everyone of the Free Republic members who have posted the Day in the Life of President Bush over the last four years. There have been days I would come home from work and be totally exhausted and depressed on how the press was portraying the upcoming elections and the smear campaign that the Democrats waged against George W. Bush and I would get to this website and feel tranquil once again.
I do have to share some wonderful news with everyone. I volunteered to work on the Bush Cheney reelection. The GOTV in Wisconsin (Waukesha County)was a well coordinated event with tons and tons of volunteers working to get our President reelected. I am happy to report that the turnout in this county was a historic 97.6% of registered voters. We did not carry the State for the President but almost 100% turnout of registered voters is just plain amazing.
Today I am just a very peaceful and thankful person. Although I am just one of many people who worked for get our President and Vice President re-elected, I have a sense of accomplishment and boy it is sure a great feeling.
I'm dragging a bit physically today (aren't we all!), but I'm saturated w/happiness that President George W. Bush has been misunderestimated once again!!!!
I know what you mean. A month ago, I planned to gloat big time when W won, but today I'm just overwhelmed. Happy, but overwhelmed. The full impact of this great victory won't sink in for a few more days. I mean, Bush beat Kerry by nearly 4 million votes! My faith is renewed in this country.
Thank you for your kind comments -- WE ALL MADE AN IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION TO THIS HISTORIC VICTORY!
NOW IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE -- ANY IDEAS?!
[Dolly Cali: Did you choose a date for the 'Ohio' lunch?!]
A VERY spectacular day, a glorious day, and I'm so thankful for our President and his wonderful family. I'm barely coherent after two extremely short nights (following Daschle hearing on Mon. night), but I couldn't be happier!
And now some more pictures to add to my collection. Thanks, Gretchen!
Yeah, Chirac sent some suitably French semi-surrender -- ooops, congratulations -- letter to the President saying the usual insincere nonsense about how important the U.S.-Franco relationship is, and how we need to work together to solve the world's problems, yada, yada, yada.
Dubyuh ROCKS...MUD
I wish Minnesota could have been a red state, too. But my county went for the President - we had a 93% turnout in my rural precinct!
Thanks Gretchen. What an honor it must be for you to be the one to post the Victory Dose. It is always wonderful to get the rest of the story through these pictures on the dose. This is truly a great day for rejoicing.
I was in knots yesterday & kept vigil most of the night. Then took off work today to watch all the whining & handwringing by the media.
Praise the Lord and bless you all who post the pic.

i'm SOOOOOO glad after this week we probably won't have to hear the name "John Kerry" anymore...also that monotone voice of his...hopefully his concession speech was the last of it forever.

You kept your county close, that's what counted!!!!!
My head didn't hit the pillow until 5 AM this morning and I was up again at 7 AM (the President and I were on the same schedule)! TIME FOR BED! Night all!

It was a great day.. and I loved seeing Blairs comments in England. first to house & then later.
I think he is a "smashing" man.. he has put on a bit more weight. I was worried about him 2 years ago when he was so thin & looking sickly.
To bed.. I am beat! Night Snugs
Gee, handing out Bush/Cheney stuff at the Goat Festival
